Ai felt firstly pain around her whole body before she even had the chance to open her eyes. She groaned annoyed at the situation and slowly decided to open her eyes as sleeping with such pain wasn't an option anymore.
The room was partly dark and didn't take long to see a brown-haired male appear in her vision. Ai furrowed her brows confused as she watched the male still beside her, after the attack in the shop she expected him to just run away.
"Does it pain much?" Chan asked and sat down beside the bed Ai was lying on. A laugh escaped her as she thought about the pain that went through her body at the moment "Let's say that the pain before the attack was a bitch, that right now I'm face to face with Satan".
Chan sighed annoyed by the attitude the witch showed even after a fight where she even got poisoned slumber potion onto herself. "Are you really alright? You got some of that bottle with the frog's segrement onto you" Chan asked again worried.
Ai only rolled her eyes "I didn't get the whole bottle on me so I won't die of it" she said as if Chan should have known himself. He only nodded and leaned back in his seat "As you say".
"Let's move back to more important things, is this your bed or hell?" Ai asked and looked up to Chan who widened his eyes in surprise. "We're in a Motel" he answered and Ai groaned disappointed at the fact that she wasn't in a boy's home.
"What did happen after I passed out?" the witch asked as she remembered the mess they made by the attack. Chan looked at the ceiling of some special events after the incident "Nothing actually, I got you and the things in the car and drove off to a motel" he answered.
Ai widened her eyes and groaned annoyed "Why did I have to pass out?" she whined and tried to squirm around. Chan was confused by the reaction "What do you mean?" he asked and came closer to the female.
Ai looked at Chan and sighed thinking back about the talk with Kimbal and the happenings a year ago. "The robe... I wanted him back" she said lowly and sad, looking away, trying to find her composure.
Chan knew she was sensitive about the topic and decided to not ask further. It was already midnight as Ai woke up so Chan decided to make something to eat as he knew Ai still wasn't able to eat.
He went to the little kitchen that was connected to the small bedroom and started to boil the water. "What are you making?" Ai asked loudly from the bed as she couldn't move from the whole pain around her body.
"Instant noodles, you still had nothing to eat" Chan stated and turned around to face Ai. He thought about the things that had happened to him till now. He didn't know if living his normal life again would be some kind of danger for him.
He left his car at the launderette because of Ai and can't come to work the next day. If he had friends they would have maybe been worried about him but Chan always prioritized his work so friends weren't really in his life.
Worrying about his home was nothing as he lived alone and had nothing to be cared for in his small apartment. Still, just suddenly disappeared from his surroundings just because he met a witch, and some creatures which actually should have been myths didn't sit right with him.
The beeping of the water boiler woke Chan as he took it and poured it into the cup, closing it and waiting again. Thinking about the state of Ai and how long it will probably take them to get the missing ingredients for the potion, Chan was skeptical about it all.
"Is it much we need to get for the potion?" Chan asked and turned around to look into the bedroom. The thought of forgetting that these myths exist wasn't pleasing but at the same time, living with the fear of seeing a cyclops again wasn't an option either.
