It’s extremely dark, but I can see perfectly, almost hazy if you ask me. I seem to be walking down a hallway at my school. I’m not sure though it feels different almost as if I’m being watched.
Why is it so dark?
Where is everyone?
A Muffled “Hello” managed to escape my mouth as I shuffled from side to side.
I hear a crash almost like glass shattering; instantaneously the already dark hall was vacuumed of all its light leaving me in complete darkness. I looked over my shoulder in hope of seeing someone, I was disappointed to see that there was no one there; fear immediately struck me as I saw something slither in the distant blackness. This something slithered almost snakelike but more forced and stiff. This must be unnatural.
What the hell is that? I have to get out of this hall now!
Breaking into a sprint I ran to the other end of the hallway. The sound of two more crashing lights sends me into panic mode.
It’s getting closer!
Turning the corner there’s a door with light coming from underneath. Instantly the fear that overcame me moments ago was gone and soothed with complete and utter calmness. The crashing of the lights had stopped.
Finally I’m safe.
Walking to the door slowly but cautiously I can’t help to think that the previous events were all over. Coming within arm’s reach of the door I extend my hand to turn the knob and to proceed to safety. Oddly I couldn’t reach it. Not thinking twice about what just happened I walked closer to grab the knob. I heard it again causing me to stop in my tracks. There it was that eerie noise. Crash!
It’s After ME!
Fear pumped through my veins again as I look over my shoulder. There it was, walking towards me was a dark cloaked figure. With each step it took the floor withered away leaving nothing but blackness.
My heart sank.
In full sprint mode I run to the door in attempt to reach the knob and escape to the light where it’s safe.
“Help” I scream, knowing no one is there to help.
‘I’m going to die’ is my last thought before I felt ice like breathing on my neck. Slowly I turn around in attempt to spare a few more seconds of life. My cloaked stalker had revealed his face. He has horrible burned skin which was sunk in due to starvation I would guess. His bone structure was magnificent; it’s defined and has the potential to be a very attractive male. But the most shocking of it all are his eyes which are a bright piercing green. The crashing seems to get louder and louder as my heart beat rises. The creature parts its lips letting cold breath flow in my direction. In one small whisper it speaks one name, my name.
“Candice”
I nearly jump out of bed when I hear my alarm go off. Holding my knees to my chest I scoot back to my headboard rocking back and forth in attempt to calm myself. It’s amazing how this dream has haunted me for years, but yet I never have seemed to overcome the fear.
My heart rate begins to calm.
I sigh as I realize that school starts today, I totally hate school and most of all I hate mornings. I don’t understand why we start school on a Wednesday. To me it doesn’t add up. but on the bright side I only have three days of hell this week.
My alarm goes off again playing Luper by Earl Sweatshirt. What a great way to begin my morning –note the sarcasm
Avoiding looking at myself in the mirror, I quickly undress and get into the shower, letting the hot water burn my skin as it flows over me.
