"FUCK!" Colin shouted. He and Wanda were en route to the church, ready to tie the knot. This morning, he had meticulously donned his suit, feeling like a million bucks. Meanwhile, Wanda had cleverly concealed her dress under a coat, determined to keep it a surprise until they reached their destination. After all, she didn't want to risk any bad luck, especially not on their wedding day.
Although Colin hadn't caught a glimpse of Wanda's dress, they were already running out of luck as their car had suddenly decided to quit working, leaving them stranded in the middle of nowhere. "FUCK!" he exclaimed again, his eyes widening as the rain began to pour down relentlessly.
Wanda let out a nervous giggle as she surveyed their less-than-ideal situation. "That... well, that's a little... shitty now, isn't it?"
"You don't say," Colin grumbled, turning the ignition key over and over, but to no avail. The engine clacked a few times, stubbornly refusing to cooperate. "Alright, I'm gonna check. You stay here, safe and warm."
He hastily exited the car, using his jacket as a makeshift umbrella. But his efforts were in vain, for the moment he lifted the hood, he was already drenched to the bone. Shouting over the pounding rain, he urged Wanda to give it a try, though deep down, he knew it was a futile endeavor.
Wanda sat in the car, observing Colin with amusement and admiration. They had only known each other for a mere three weeks, yet she found herself falling head over heels for this quirky individual. He was just like her - a kindred spirit when it came to killing. And to Wanda, he was nothing short of perfect. His ability to make her laugh, coupled with his tall, slender figure, had her smitten from the moment they met. Plus, he was ice cold, merciless, loving, and caring, but most of all, he kindled a passion and desire inside her that took her breath away, leaving her longing for more.
Undeterred by the torrential downpour, Wanda hastily scrambled out of the car and rushed to Colin's side. "Hey, what are you doing?" he asked in surprise, quickly holding his jacket over her in a valiant attempt to shield her from the relentless rain. "Why don't you stay in the car where it's dry?"
"Because the damn car won't start, that's why!" Wanda exclaimed. "And you know what, Colin Day? I'm going to marry you today, come hell or high water!" With that, she grabbed the surprised man by the collar and planted a passionate kiss on his lips. Pulling away, she flashed him a mischievous grin and stepped backward into the rain. "Now, are you going to marry me or what?" she laughed, daring him to refuse her bold proposal.
Captivated, Colin watched Wanda as the relentless rain soaked her in seconds. In no time at all, her once-pristine hair was plastered to her face, the water cascading down her features in a rather comical fashion. Yet, to him, she had never looked more beautiful. His heart raced with giddiness and disbelief, and he shook his head in amusement at the sheer absurdity of their situation.
Closing the distance between them, Colin reached out and grasped Wanda's hand, stopping her in her tracks. "Wanda Kasinski," he breathed, his voice barely audible over the pounding of the rain, "I want to marry you. More than anything else in this world." And with that, he pulled her close and sealed his declaration with yet another passionate kiss, the two of them laughing and embracing like a pair of lovestruck fools, heedless of the storm that raged around them.
By the time they reached the church thirty-three minutes later, they were soaked to the bone - not a dry thread on their bodies. But that didn't dampen their spirits one bit as they entered the holy house, giggling like a pair of schoolchildren.
The poor priest was utterly flabbergasted, having never witnessed such an unorthodox wedding before. No guests, no best man, no maid of honor - just a completely drenched couple, currently making out in the church entryway. He couldn't help but clap his hands over his head in pure shock. He cleared his throat pointedly, prompting the lovebirds to reluctantly break their kiss and scamper happily towards him, their soggy footprints trailing behind them. He raised a quizzical eyebrow as they approached, wondering what other surprises this unconventional pair had in store.
