Briere checked her phone, as she walked through the grocery store to get some groceries. Today was Saturday, which made it Nobel's birthday and she told Nasir and Leighton that she could go to the grocery store to get anything that was needed that they didn't get the chance to get.

Briere asked if Lennox could tag along with her on her grocery run, and ultimately he decided to tag along. As much as Briere loved her baby brother, it annoyed her that Lennox couldn't be anywhere to be found when it came to them running errands together.

Growing up, Lennox was known notoriously for disappearing somewhere. Briere would often be the one to find him.

Continuing her journey, Briere came to a stop to grab paper cups, napkins, and paper plates. Once she grabbed all of her belongings, she then put them into the cart. Just as Briere was about to go to another aisle, she heard her name being called by a familiar baritone voice.

"Briere." A familiar baritone voice said.

Immediately Briere turned around and was greeted by Marcel's presence. Briere cursed under my breath. Briere had no idea that she would see Marcel anymore, especially after their breakup a few months back.

Briere felt her heart pounding, as she looked at Marcel. Those same dark brown eyes Briere fell in love with, was now the person she truly hated.

"Not how I expected to start my day." Briere mumbled.

"It's been a long time since we last saw each other. How have you been?" He asked.

The audacity. Briere thought to herself.

Briere didn't say anything, instead she just gave Marcel a blank stare. Briere was in utter shock that Marcel asked her how she knew he was the one that broke up with her and now has a family on the way.

Briere was hoping that Lennox would just magically show back up, so she can avoid Marcel at all cost.

"So you're just gonna ignore me?"

Briere took a deep breath. She felt herself wanting to go completely off on Marcel, but she didn't want to go off on him in a public space.

"I don't have anything to say to you, Marcel." Briere bluntly said as she shrugged her shoulders.

"We haven't talked since that day, is everything alright?"

Hearing Marcel ask that question, was making Briere a bit irritated. Briere was trying her hardest not to be rude towards Marcel, but she knew if he kept asking her questions, Briere was going to flip.

"Yes I'm fine, and if you don't mind I have to finish the rest of my grocery shopping," Briere said in a calm tone.

Marcel nodded his head."Aight well before you go, can we talk?"

"About what?" Briere furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

"About that day."

"No, we're not gonna talk about that day." Briere shook her head, as she attempted to walk away from Marcel.

Just as Briere was about to walk away, she felt a tight grip on her forearm causing her to be caught off guard immediately.

"Don't you ever walk away from me when I talk to you." Marcel said through gritted teeth.

Briere was taken aback at Marcel. When they were together, Marcel had never been aggressive towards her, so Briere was just caught by surprise.

Briere hoped that Lennox would just show up out of nowhere to save her.

"Let go of me Marcel, I don't want to talk to you." Briere said as she attempted to get out of Marcel's grip.

Marcel tightened his grip on Briere's arm tighter than what he already had. Briere could feel her heart pounding, at how Marcel was being aggressive with her.
