As I was going about my day with my friends, I couldn't help but notice a strikingly beautiful girl who seemed to be staring at me. Just as I was about to flash her a smile, a sudden wave of self-doubt washed over me and I hesitated. Why would I smile at a stranger? I wondered. Just then, I saw another girl standing next to her, who began to playfully slap the pretty stranger, causing her to turn away from me and look at her friend. The two of them seemed to share a close bond, which made me take notice of the way they interacted with each other. I quickly pushed aside my thoughts and refocused on the present moment, petting a cat gently and enjoying the company of my friends.

As I petted the cat in my lap, I suddenly felt a gaze upon me. Turning to my side, I saw my nonchalant friend Maya, who was smirking at me. Lacey, who was sitting beside me, noticed my confusion and turned to look at Maya with a perplexed expression. This only added to my confusion, prompting me to ask Lacey what was going on.

"Why do you have that perplexed expression on your face, Maya?"

This prompted Maya to chuckle as she took a sip of her coffee.

"Nothing".

Lacey and I gave her a playful glare, and she let out a small laugh before throwing her hands up in surrender.

"You're staring at that girl over there right?"

"Ha, what do you mean? Sino?"

"Nagpapakipot ka pa Nakita kita kanina and by the way that's Marley Cora Vargas one of the people na pinagkakaguluhan Ng mga babae at lalaki sa school, Kasama ko sa team namin sa volleyball and okay naman sya when it comes to academics Hindi lang mas magaling sayo".

As soon as Maya made that statement with her conyo accent, my curiosity was piqued. I couldn't help but steal a glance at the Marley girl, as well as the girl sitting next to her. It was evident that Lacey was just as interested as I was.

When I suddenly realized that she was assuming that I had a crush on the girl who was staring at me, I couldn't help but playfully hit her right shoulder and glared at her which made Maya laugh.

"I cannot with your assumption Ms. Legaspi".

As we were standing there, Lacey gave us a confused look. It seemed like she didn't understand the context of Maya's statement. Maya's assumption made me walk out playfully with my matcha latte, and Lacey followed me, still looking confused. Maya followed me too, and we were all enjoying ourselves until I suddenly hit someone.

I was shocked and looked at the person I had hit. It was the same person who had been staring at me earlier. I had accidentally spilled my matcha latte on her, and she was not pleased. She glared at me, and I felt guilty for not watching my steps. I tried to apologize, but before I could finish my sentence, she walked out of the room with her friend.

I felt terrible about what had happened. It was never part of my plan to bump into her and stain her uniform.

"If only I couldn't been more careful".
