"In the tapestry of life, connections weave,
Binding souls in a dance of give and receive.
With threads of empathy and understanding tight,
Relationships blossom in love's gentle light.Through laughter shared and tears embraced,
In the sanctuary of trust, hearts are traced.
For in the tapestry of connections, we find,
The essence of existence, intertwined."*****
"You don't have anything planned for today" the assistant said.
Eirene almost dropped the fork she's holding upon hearing this
"I don't have... Anything? Really? Are you sure?!"
"Yes"
"Really? Like, really nothing? You didn't just miss anything but nothing really is going on today?! Like absolutely nothing?"
"Yes"
"I don't believe you"
"*Sigh.. then find yourself a job if you don't want a day off"
"No! I want it!" Eirene watched the assistant put another pancake on her plate.
Eirene cut the pancake into smaller pieces before asking again, "Is there really nothing written in the schedule? Did you check with sister Ara?"
"How many times do you want to confirm it?" The assistant felt hopeless yet again with her boss.
"Well, you can't blame me. I have always been bombarded with work that I barely had a proper lunch and sleep. It feels a little weird that I don't have anything to do today... Wait! Is that why you didn't wake me up early?" Realization hit her quite hard as she accidentally dropped her fork.
"Did you realize that just now?" The assistant asked as she picked up the fork that Eirene dropped, taking out an entirely new fork for her.
".. well, I did think it was strange" Eirene averted her eyes.
The assistant stared at Eirene with suspicion "You realized that just now, didn't you?"
Eirene's eyes widened in shock and offense. "What? I realized that way before this conversation even started, thank you very much!"
Eirene felt a little offended, but not to the point that she had to act like this. It's true that she realized she wasn't woken up by her assistant, Rachel. Her sleep wasn't bothered by anyone, so she didn't pay that much attention to it and was alright with that being the case.
"For an actress, you're bad at lying"
The assistant still thought she was lying. Eirene could only raise her brows at the assistant before eating her breakfast.
"So, is there anything you want to do for your day off?" The assistant asked, making Eirene stop eating.
"Nothing really comes to mind" then she took another bite of her pancake.
"What about visiting your family?" The assistant suggested, earning a halt from Eirene.
"... I don't think it's a good idea. My sister has a piano lesson, and my brother is playing soccer with his friends. My father and mother are busy with work. No one's really home right now" then Eirene continued eating until her pancakes were gone.
