Multiverse Wars: Episode One: The Milky Way Menace

Chapter 1. Short Negotiations

"Turmoil has engulfed Team Justice. The taxation of trade routes to outlaying dimensions is in dispute. Hoping to resolve the matter with a blockade of deadly factories, the greedy Robotnik Industries has stopped all shipping to the small planet of Floralia. While the congress of Team Justice endlessly debates this alarming chain of events, the Supreme Chancellor Labyrinthia has secretly dispatched two Nova Knights, the guardians of peace and justice in the Multiverse, to settle the conflict....."

(A small, blue space cruiser is heading towards the blockade at great speed. The cruiser heads toward the beautiful green planet of Floralia in the Kirby dimension, which is surrounded by hundreds of Robotnik Industries factories. In the cockpit of the cruiser, Meggy and a random pilot maneuver closer to one of the factories.)

Gary Oak: (off screen voice) Captain.

(Captain Meggy turns to an unseen figure sitting behind her.)

Captain Meggy: Yes, sir?

Gary Oak: (V.O) Tell them we wish to board at once.

Captain Meggy: Yes, sir.

(Captain Meggy looks to her view screen, where Gaspen Payne, a vile prosecutor, waits for a reply.)

Meggy: (cont'd) With all due respect for Robotnik Industries, the Ambassadors for the Supreme Chancellor wish to board immediately.

Gaspen: Yes, yes, of course... As you know, our blockade is perfectly legal, and we'd be happy to receive the Ambassadors... Happy to.

(Out the cockpit window, the sinister factory looms ever closer. The small space cruiser docks in the enormous main bay of the industries factory. A red Egg Flapper waits at the door to the docking bay. Two Egg Pawns watch.)

Egg Pawn #1: They must be important if the Prosecutor sent one of those useless protocol gearheads to greet them.

(The door opens, and the Justice cruiser can be seen in the docking bay. Two darkly robed figures are greeted by the red Egg Flapper.)

Red Egg Flapper: I'm your standard Egg Flapper, at your service. This way, please.

(They move off down the hallway.)

Egg Pawn #2: A Justice cruiser! That's trouble...don't you think?

Egg Pawn #1: I'm not made to think.

(A door slides open, and the two cloaked shapes are led into the formal conference room by the Egg Flapper.)

Red Egg Flapper: I hope you honored sirs are most comfortable here. My master will be with you shortly.

(The robot bows before Bolo and Gary Oak. He backs out the door and it closes. The Nova Knights lower their hoods and look out a large window at the lush green planet of Floralia. Gary Oak is sixteen years old and has spiky hair. He is tall and striking, with hazel eyes. Bolo is fourteen, with very short blue hair, pale skin, and blue eyes. Several Chatots sing in a cage near the door.)

Bolo: I have a bad feeling about this.

Gary Oak: I don't sense anything.

Bolo: It's not about the mission, Master, it's something... Elsewhere... Elusive.

Gary Oak: Don't center on your anxiety, Bolo. Keep your concentration here and now where it belongs.

Bolo: Triple D says I should be mindful of the future...

Gary Oak: .....but not at the expense of the moment. Be mindful of the living Memes, my young clockwork star.

Bolo: Yes, Master... How do you think the prosecutor will deal with the chancellor's demands?
