Episode 3 : The Falling Kingdom

2 months later :-

March 25 ,
Late Evening ,
Wankhede stadium ,
Mumbai , 6:20 pm .

It was the final match of WTC and India was 106 runs behind the score , and India was at a loss of 4 wickets already . But Shubman was still on the ground. And he was determined to win this test match , he was batting in a calm and attacking way , finding the gap and making runs .

Sara was in the Stadium , sitting and praying for her man's success , she was wearing a flowy dress to cover her baby bump which did its job and made her look fat ( not pregnant ) .

After a few strokes and a good over of power hitting by Shubman the match settled in the favour of India and they won the WTC .

A big moment for all the ICT fans , A WTC mace was long over due and it was finally won by India under the Captaincy of Shubman.

Sara was in the stands , cheering and celebrating over this big win , she knew how much Shubman wanted to win the mace and he did it.

After the celebrations , Shubman was asked to give an Interview to an Interviewer named Karan .

Karan " Congratulations Skipper , how well deserving of you to win this under your captaincy , your command on the field and bat is impressive "

Shubman nodded and smiled " Thanks for the appreciation , I couldn't do this without our team , It was a team , we won as a team "

Karan " That's your words as a great captain ! also as we now won the WTC finals in this stadium of Wankhede , do you think we will also win the ODI WC finals happening after 3 months here in the stadium ? "

Shubman " I am sure we will win the WC here too , I have trust in my team , and we believe we will win that too "

Karan " That's some good news to hear , I can see someone standing in the dugouts waiting for you to come meet her , a few words about your lady ?" ( he said looking at Sara )

Shubman smiled " Yes , my lucky charm , my angel as I like to call her is waiting for me , she is my biggest strength , she always comes to support me , it feels happy to know that if even the whole world hates me when I perform badly once , she will still be there saying ' Don't worry it just wasn't your day ' and support me "

Karan " That's a man in love , I see , will she be there at the WC finals as you say we will play ? Cheering for you in the stands during finals ? "

Shubman " Yes I promise she will be there cheering for me , cheering for the whole team in the finals "

Karan " That's nice to hear , I won't keep you waiting to meet your lady , thanks for your time and I wish to see you in the ODI WC finals skipper "

" Thank you so much , We will try our best and be there, thank you " Shubman said and left to meet her lady he looked at her and wanted to give her a hug , she had already her arms open for him , but he didn't come to hug her instead he just held her hands .

Sara " kya hua no hugs ? "

He said " Vaise nahi , I was playing on the ground for so long , kitne germs hoge mujh pe and it might infect you too , I don't want to take any risks "

Sara laughed " Nothing's gonna happen ! Just come " she said and opened her arms again .

This time he hugged her , during the hug she ruffled his hair " I am so proud of you , you were unstoppable out there , they way you showed your excellence in the field , We both are proud of you " she said and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
