Glasses were clinking, music went loud and beats like your heart. I was taking shots since she arrived and went wild. I was dancing, shouting to the lyrics and flirting with some strangers. It was a wild and crazy night for me.
I tried to forget everything a few hours ago. From shots to shots, I was drunk, barely in my own mind. Since I couldn't drive after drinking so many alchohol, a guy I met this night, offered me to sleep at his house. I of course accept his offer and slept at his place.
This morning, I just arrived home after a long night. I was too tired to even check up on my daughters and went to sleep. I was at a club last night and tried to forget what happened.
I tried to get drunk, get high with other people and forget everything for a moment. I hoped, it will work. It only did for a moment as I was in the club. Everything came crashing down as I came back home.
I just wished that time would turn back and that I burned all these books. If only the world allowed that...
I was sleeping and suddenly heard laughter and giggles in the house. I smiled, thinking of my daughters having fun. I'll miss the old time with my family.
But it starts to fade away. Tara was in the kitchen with Sam. She was making them some breakfast, almost lunch. The good smell flew in my room. My stomach rumbles and I, from curiousity, walked to the kitchen and took a peek.
"Oh, mom!" Tara ran to me and gave me a big hug. "Where were you?" She asked. I smiled tiredly. "I had a serious emergency at work and could get home this morning now." I lied. It was a simple lie.
But it actually happens every now and then. So they believed me and shook it off. "Mom, do you want to eat something, since I'm already cooking for us both." Sam asked. I smiled at my daughter and helped Sam. Tara was already sitting at the table, waiting for the food.
"Mom, I can do this alone, you can wait with Tar." Sam pointed to the table. I did what my daughter told me to.
I sat by the table and zoned off, thinking what will happen when I didn't let my diary up there. Will we be a happy family ever after? I sighed.
Sam walked towards us with three plates. I stood up to help her and gave the plate to Tara. "Mmh~ looks good Sam!" Tara exclaimed and starts to dig in.
I chuckled at her humbleness and also start to eat. "Thanks Sam." I said before eating. She only nod and also began to eat. Lunch was filled with awkward silence.
Hence, no one spoke. Even Tara. She was too focused in eating her food. I looked at Sam and she was looking down her plate, eating in silence. It was a weird feeling.
We finished with our lunch and I took our plates to the sink. "Honey, go sit, you already cooked. Thank you." Sam wanted to go and wash the dishes, but I dissmissed.
She went upstairs to do her things. Tara stayed in the living room, watching TV. "Tara sweetie, I'm in my room if you want to find me, okay?" She just nodded and continued to watch TV.
