The Invite

Sonia and her younger brother 'Sonic' were just hanging around the house with their older brother 'Manic' on a Thursday afternoon at their place.

Sonic yawned and asked as he took a bite out of his chilidog, "So when's the next gig sibs?"

Manic 'beating the drum with his drumsticks' answered, "Ehh, it was supposed to be next month in the middle of the week. Sadly it got transferred to 5 months. What a rip dude."

Sonia looked into the mirror and asked, "So what's the point of hanging around here?"

Then a knock on the door was heard before Sonic asked, "Who is it?"

A familiar voice said, "It's Tails Sonic. Let me in I got some big news."

Sonic opened the door for his two tailed best friend and asked, "What's it about bro?"

He also sees one of Manics 'the ever grouchy Shawn Barker'.

Tails showed 5 invites and said, "Big news guys. We've been invited to Shadow and Amy's engagement party at the Ski-Resort in station-Square!"

Manic and his younger siblings were surprised at this as Sonia said, "No way!!"

Sonic then said in surprised, "You're kidding."

Shawn replied to him, "Believe me kid. We ain't."

Manic takes the three and reads one of them, "You're invited to the Station Square Ski Resort for Amy and Shadows engagement party. Also a two month stay."

The two siblings looked at their invites as Sonic red an extra line, "You better be on your behavior faker."

Sonic muttered to himself, "Shoulda known."

Manic then said 'to light up the mood, "Alrighty, now we are talking. Let's go pack sibs."

Tails replied, "Meet Boomer and I at the car. Shawns driving."

Sonia replied, "Good to know."

That was when Manic went to his room to pack up for the trip 'leaving the brother and sister alone'.

Sonia looked down before Sonic said 'noticing this with pity', "Don't tell me. You wished it be you who woulda been Shadows bride big sis?"

Sonia replied, "I don't need your pity. I know you are actually bummed about Amy being with Shadow."

Sonic chuckled and said, "No. I'm not."

Sonia 'in surmise' asked, "What? You're glad?? But didn't you like her?"

Sonic replied with his usual cocky tone, "Nah. Ya know me Sonia. I'm into guys. Kinda like you are now."

Sonia sighed deeply and replied, "I see..."

That was when Sonic gave her sympathy and said, "Cheer up sis. You'll find someone and so will I."

That was when Sonic walked upstairs as Sonia said to herself with a smile, "Yeah.. Maybe."
