Part 5

"Thanks for showing up to this blind date," Kim said with a smile.

"No need to thank me, oppa. We should be thanking you for setting this up," the guys cheered, except for Woo Seok, who sat there glaring at Kim.

Feeling Woo Seok's intense gaze, Kim quickly adjusted his tone.

"Let's introduce ourselves. My name is Joon Kim, but you can call me Kim. I'm from Dream High and also the star player of the basketball defense team. Nice to meet you." He bowed politely and took his seat.

The group clapped and cheered, except for Woo Seok, who continued to glare at Kim. Sensing Woo Seok's gaze once again, Kim avoided eye contact.

"Okay, now it's your turn, guys," Kim said, gesturing to the other two.

They smiled and introduced themselves, standing up and bowing to the girl.

Now it was Woo Seok's turn.

All the girls eagerly awaited Woo Seok's introduction, especially the girl sitting in front of him.

"And how about you, oppa?" the girl asked, flashing a cute smile.

"I refu-" Woo Seok began, but Kim quickly covered his mouth.

"He's Woo Seok, the team leader from our Dream High. He's tall and incredibly handsome," Kim introduced, removing his hand from Woo Seok's mouth.

Woo Seok glared at Kim once again.

The girls happily exclaimed, "Nice to meet you, Woo Seok oppa," with the girl in front of him smiling sweetly.

She grabbed Woo Seok's hand and shook it. "I'm Jia," she said, still smiling.

Woo Seok tried to pull his hand away, but Jia's grip was surprisingly strong, as if she wanted to hold hands with him, which irritated him.

Jia smiled but stopped shaking his hand when she noticed a beautiful ring on his finger.

"Wow, this ring is so gorgeous," she commented, causing the other girls to come closer to inspect it.

"I agree. It's sparkling and beautiful," another girl added.

Jia smiled at Woo Seok before attempting to remove the ring, but he quickly pulled his hand away.

"Don't touch it with your filthy fingers," he snapped angrily, shocking Jia, who quickly apologized.

Jia apologized, admitting that it had become a habit for her to try things without asking others.

"Well you should, fix that behaviour" Woo Seok said and observing her.

Jia smiled at Woo Seok " im sorry okay, i will not touch it again" he sigh "but is the ring very important to you?" Woo Seok glanced at his ring,

which symbolized his engagement to Y/N.

The ring served as a reminder of Y/N, causing him to sigh.

"Not sure," as he continued to eye the ring.

" o-okay guys who hungry, let me take your order" Kim intervened, suggesting that they first order something to ease the tense atmosphere.

They all agreed, and Kim took their food orders before rushing to the counter.

"oppa can i ask you some-" Jia was about to ask Woo Seok something when he abruptly stood up and walked towards Kim.

Startled, Kim exclaimed, "You scared me, dummy!"

Angrily, Woo Seok crossed his arms " well u should now" woo seok said and that make kim avoided him again.

" if you continued behaving that way i will left this cafe"

" NOO O-OKAY , i will tell you" reluctantly agreed and then he pull woo seok closer and pointed at Minjae

"Look over there," he pointed at Minjae.

"What about her?" Woo Seok replied nonchalantly.

"She was the most beautiful girl at Star High," he said.

"And?"

"I like her, you could say it was love at first sight," Kim said, causing Woo Seok to scoff.

"Another girl already?" he laughed, knowing Kim easily fell for beautiful girls.

"The past is in the past-"

"You're saying the same thing as last time," Woo Seok interrupted.

"Anyway, Minjae only talks to me, and me only."

"And?" Woo Seok questioned.

Kim sighed and facepalmed. He pointed at Minjae again.

"She only talks to me because I'm your closest friend," he explained, making Woo Seok look at him in disbelief.

"So, to get to know her better, she agreed to go on a blind date... but I have to bring you along, that's the rule."

"So she's using-"

"Shh, she's not. Just look at her, she's beautiful and has a nice personality."

"You judge someone's character based on appearance?" Woo Seok asked.

Kim nodded.

Woo Seok raised an eyebrow and asked, "So, what do you think of me? Do I seem nice to you?"

Kim smirked and replied, "Nope, not at all."

Curious, Woo Seok questioned, "Then why are you judging someone's appearance?"

Kim looked at Woo Seok and chuckled

"Oh, I see what you're getting at. You want me to say you're handsome, huh?"

This made Woo Seok facepalm himself in frustration.

"You're slow, Kim," Woo Seok said with a hint of annoyance.

Before they could continue their banter, the barista interrupted them politely, "I'm sorry for disturbing you, but here's the receipt. Our staff will bring your food to the table."

Kim smiled and thanked the barista, then turned to Woo Seok. "Just behave for 20 minutes, please, for my sake," Kim pleaded.

Woo Seok let out a sigh and glanced at his desperate friend.

"Only 20 minutes, and then I'm gone," he replied.

Kim gave Woo Seok a small hug before returning to the table.

Woo Seok watched Kim's behavior and slowly made his way back to the table.

However, his attention was caught by Lia, who was slowly approaching him with a tray full of used plates.

Woo Seok quickly adjusted his uniform and hair, trying to make himself look presentable.

Unbeknownst to Woo Seok, Lia had overheard their conversation earlier while cleaning nearby.

"So, he's here for a blind date, huh?" she murmured to herself as she wiped the table before moving on to another.

As she finish cleaning the table Lia started walking towards the counter with the tray, but she slowed her pace as she noticed a tall, handsome man standing in front of the order counter.

She avoided Woo Seok and gave a small bow.

"Thank you for the plaster," Woo Seok said with a smile, causing Lia to pause and look at him.

He was indeed handsome, and his smile was charming.

"Oh, you're welcome," Lia replied, her voice slightly trembling as she returned the smile.

"Then, good luck with your work," Woo Seok said before quickly returning to his table.

Lia watched him go and couldn't help but smile. "You too," she whispered before continuing with her tasks.
