"I SWEAR, EITHER PERCY IS a very special person or you really pissed off the wrong person," I state as I watch the bull charge towards us at full speed. "First Alecto, now a bull in underpants— which, now that I think about it, is a little degrading, but whatever. I swear if I die earlier than I'm supposed to I'mma haunt him."

"Wait, that thing is wearing underpants?" Percy asks, leaning over to take a look at the thing. I make a face at the boy, wondering if he was oblivious or just plain stupid. I starting to think it's most likely the last one.

"After everything I just said, how is that the only thing that intrests you?" I ask the blonde, who just shrugs nochalantly. I roll my eyes at him.

"The mytholomagic cards were training," Grover says quickly and urgently. "Everything has been training for what's still ahead of you."

"What's ahead of me?" Percy retorted, his voice laced with irony.

"Boys!" Sally says. "How about focusing on what's behind us? Thank you!"

"I second that!" I say, agreeing with her.

"I'm actually twenty-four," Grover adds, unhelpfully.

"Grover, shut up," I say, glaring at the saytr. "You are so not helping right now."

"Everyone, hold on!" Sally exclaimes from her spot in the front as she slammes her foot down on the accelerator, making us go faster.

The bull begins to pick up its pace and at this point I can feel — literally and figuratively — the fear that the other three beings in the car are experiencing, which somehow makes my own ten times worse. I wish I could do somethhing but most of my . . . abilities require me to be in close proximity with whatever I was up against.

Plus, moving in a beat-up vehicle at eighty miles-per-hour wasn't exactly the most ideal time to get physical.

"Can't you guys do anything?" Percy yells his seat and I instantly glare at the blonde.

"I'm sorry, do you want me to whip out my How to survive a Minotaur in the middle of the night handbook and look for a solution?" I snap.

"Actually, yeah. That would be very helpful right now," He responds sarcastically.

I was about to respond with another snarky remark, when Sally yelled, "Guys!"

          "Yes!"

"I think he wants to jump it," She says.

I look back, and sure enough, Sally was probably right. I watch as the bull picks up its pace, before lunging at the car at full speed and landing a few feet behind us to the left.
