Chapter 2 ♡ Maroon

I hate early mornings.

Why did people decide that we should wake up at 7 in the fucking morning? It's just so unnecessary. 

Today is my first day of filming and I had to wake up early so I could get my script. I don't know how I'm going to be able to do this for the next two months. I get up and grab my phone, I see that my mom texted me saying that we're leaving at 8. I get up and notice that Leah is not here, she must be with her mom or getting breakfast. 

I take a quick shower and put on some jeans and a striped sweater. I put on some blush and curl my eyelashes because I was told they were going to be doing my makeup on set. I put on my shoes and head outside.

My mom and I just arrived at the set, I haven't seen anyone else yet. They must've gotten here earlier to film because they're the main characters. 

As I walk into the building where we are going to be filming I immediately see Rick Riordan walking with Dan Shotz, the director. They spot us and start walking over to us. 

"Isabel, a pleasure to finally meet you in person", Rick exclaims and extends his hand.

"The pleasure is mine", I say and shake his hand.

"I'll take you to your trailer so you can get your hair and makeup done, and so you get into costume", Rick says and starts guiding me to my trailer

Just as we're arriving at my trailer we see Walker walking by. I have always been a fan of him, ever since he was announced as Percy in 2022. I have to admit though he's kind of cute. 

"Ah good, Walker! Come over here, I want you to meet someone" Rick calls out. Walker turns to look at us and walks over to Mr. Rick and me with a subtle smile on his face. 

"This is Isabel, she's going to be playing Calypso." Rick introduces me and I smile. 

"Hi, it's so nice to meet you!" I say. Anyone could hear the excitement in my voice. 

"You too. I'm excited to work with you" he responds. I smile at him and Rick tells us to go to the meeting room where we will get our scripts. 

 I look around and spot Leah, I walk over to her and tap her shoulder. She turns around and exclaims, "Izzy!" I smile "Hey you! I didn't see you this morning" 

She gives me an apologetic smile, "Yeah sorry 'bout that. I had to be here early" 

"Okay everyone sit down!" I hear Rick say so me and Leah take our places. "Everyone welcome Isabel, our new member on the team." everyone claps and I just sit there smiling until Rick keeps talking. " We planned a dinner for you all tonight to get to know her better because she's going to be filming with you for 2 months". Leah turns to me and smiles, "That's going to be so fun!" I nod in agreement and smile at her too.
