"Isa! Are you packed up yet?", i heard my mom yell from downstairs."Yep!" I answer as I carefully place my makeup bag inside my bag.
I can't believe this is happening. Tomorrow my whole life is going to be completely different. Everything is still so surreal, just a month ago I was just a normal girl from Ecuador and now I'm about to become a real actress.
A couple of months ago I auditioned for Calypso in the PJO TV series and I got a callback. Then a month ago they started filming and I was told I got the role, so now I have to fly out to Vancouver to film.
I have always been a fan of the Percy Jackson books, and now series. When I was in 5th grade I read the books and fell absolutely in love with them. About three years ago the first season of the series came out and now they're about to start filming the fourth season. Ever since I was a little girl I've loved Calypso and think that she is just misunderstood and that's why I auditioned for her role.
My flight leaves at 10 pm and it's 6 pm right now so I better start getting ready. I quickly put on my sweatpants and a hoodie, dab on some light makeup, and slip on my shoes. I take my bag downstairs and set it right next to my mom's bag.
"Ready Isa?", my mom asks me with a soft smile on her face, she knows being an actress has been my dream forever.
"Si, let's go", I say and grab my bag.
I sit down on the passenger seat as my mom starts the car when my phone vibrates lightly. I've been texting through Instagram with a couple of members of the cast since I got the role, including Leah.
