A few minutes after Jimin exited the room, there was a knock on the door. Yun-Hwa entered the room. "Is everything alright? I noticed Jimin leaving the room looking upset," Yun-Hwa said, observing Jimin's sad expression.
"I told him the truth," Ji-Hae replied. "Oh, I see. He just needs some time. You basically revealed to him that his entire life is a lie and that the people he thought were his family aren't his real family. That's a lot to process,"
Yun-Hwa comforted Ji-Hae. "Yes, I know. I wish I could have told him sooner, but I couldn't. Now he may never forgive me." Filled with guilt, Ji-Hae expressed her concerns.
"He will come around. You were only trying to protect him," Yun-Hwa reassured her. Yun-Hwa gently rubbed Ji-Hae's back, offering comfort. "I understand this must be difficult for you.
"Stay positive, Jimin will eventually understand."Ji-Hae looked at Yun-Hwa and asked, "I have a question for you, if you don't mind."
Yun-Hwa turned her attention to Ji-Hae and replied, "Of course, go ahead. "Taking a deep breath, Ji-Hae continued,
"A few months ago, Jimin's adoptive mother disappeared, and we haven't been able to locate her. Is there a spell you can perform to find her? I've tried but couldn't trace her."
"I'll see what I can do. These spells are quite challenging," Yun-Hwa responded. "Is there anything I can do to assist with the spell?" Ji-Hae inquired.
"Yes, I'll need something that belongs to her, like a simple earring or bracelet," Yun-Hwa explained. Ji-Hae retrieved a ring from her bag and asked, "Will this work?"
Yun-Hwa confirmed, "Yes, that will work perfectly fine. It will take some time to perform the spell, so in the meantime, you can explore the castle and check on Jimin to see how he's coping."
Ji-Hae nodded and left the room to find Jimin. She spotted him in the garden and sat down beside him, "I apologize for not being honest with you. My intention was to protect you."
Jimin remained silent, tears streaming down his face. Ji-Hae, understanding his need for space, stood up and began walking back to the castle. Suddenly, Jimin called out, "WAIT!"
He stood up and approached his halmeoni, who turned around to face him. Jimin embraced his halmeoni tightly and spoke, "I understand that you were only trying to keep me safe all these years. I'm sorry for getting upset with you."
His halmeoni returned the hug. "It's alright. You had every right to be upset. I shouldn't have kept the truth from you," she said, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Please don't cry. You were only trying to protect me and keep me safe," Jimin comforted her. Breaking the hug, Ji-Hae wiped away her tears and suggested, "Yun-Hwa mentioned that we are free to explore the castle.
Why don't we take this opportunity to familiarize ourselves with it, so we don't get lost?" She chuckled lightly. Jimin smiled and nodded in agreement.
Together, he and his halmeoni ventured back into the castle, exploring every corner."This castle is so vast. How will we ever remember where everything is?" Jimin whined.
A voice from behind them interrupted their conversation. Jimin and his halmeoni turned around to find alpha Jungkook standing there. "I might be able to help with that," he offered.
Jimin's halmeoni expressed gratitude, saying, "That would be very kind of you. She said with a large smile. "Follow me," Jungkook said, glancing at Jimin.
"Actually, I promised Yun-Hwa that I would assist her with a spell. You can show me around later," Jimin's halmeoni said, winking at Jimin before leaving.
