I will escort you to meet him; however, should he exhibit any disinterest in your return or express a desire for you to stay away, you must leave immediately.
Jungkook articulated his thoughts, taken aback by the situation. He was uncertain about the likelihood of Jimin's mother returning. Yet, she did come back, which brought him joy, albeit accompanied by a sense of jealousy."
Yes, I comprehend," Ji-Yun responded. Jungkook guided Ji-Yun as they made their way to the castle, his mind filled with numerous thoughts. Would he have less opportunity to see his mate now that his mother had returned? Would he even have the chance to spend time with him at all? These questions plagued his mind.
He wished for Jimin's happiness, yet he also desired to keep his mate to himself. After a twenty-minute walk, they arrived at the castle. Like Jimin, Ji-Yun was astonished by its grandeur, having never encountered anything similar.
Upon entering, Jungkook instructed one of his guards to find Jimin. A few minutes later, the guard returned with the information that Jimin was in his room.
"Could you please summon him? There is someone here to see him," Jungkook requested, glancing at Ji-Yun. "Yes, Alpha," the guard acknowledged. After a brief wait, the guard descended the stairs, with Jimin following closely behind.
Ji-Yun's eyes sparkled with excitement; it had been far too long since she had last seen Jimin, and now the moment had finally arrived. Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs, Jimin spotted his mother, causing him to freeze in place.
Jungkook instructed the guard and others to give them privacy. Once the guards and Jungkook departed, silence enveloped the room, creating a poignant pause. "Is it truly you?" Jimin stammered, tears welling in his eyes.
"Yes, my Jiminie. It is indeed me. I have returned," she replied. Overcome with emotion, Jimin burst into tears and embraced her tightly.
"I deeply regret leaving you in that manner. I was acting to protect you; I had no other option. You know I would never abandon you," she reassured him.
Jimin clung to her, overwhelmed with happiness at her return, yet troubled by the length of her absence and the reasons behind it.
He released the embrace, tears still glistening in his eyes. "Why did you leave? Why didn't you return?" Jimin inquired, seeking answers about her departure and the sense of abandonment he felt.
"I had no alternative. My priority was your safety. I needed to shield you, but I never anticipated it would take this long," Ji-Yun clarified, recounting to Jimin the conversation she had with Jungkook.
She wished for Jimin to understand that her departure was not a mere abandonment, but a necessary measure for his protection. Upon hearing her explanation, Jimin felt a wave of guilt wash over him; he had assumed she had simply left him behind.
"I apologize. I should have realized that you would not abandon me without reason. "Tears streamed down Jimin's face as he grappled with his own misconceptions.
"My son. My Jiminie. Please do not cry; you had every reason to feel that way. I should not have left. This is my fault. "She enveloped Jimin in a tight embrace, and they remained in that position for several minutes.
Eventually, Jimin pulled away. "Mom, there is something I need to ask you," he said, eager to uncover the truth, particularly regarding what halmeoni had shared.
"Yes, my son, what is it?" Ji-Yun responded. Jimin inhaled deeply, bracing himself for the forthcoming revelation. "Is it true that you are not my biological mother?
That I was taken in by you and grandma?" he asked, his voice trembling slightly. Ji-Yun recognized the importance of honesty; with everything already revealed, there should be no more secrets.
"Yes, it is true. When your birth mother requested that we take you in, we could not refuse, especially after she explained your circumstances."
Guilt was evident in Ji-Yun's eyes, as she lamented that Jimin had not learned this sooner. Jimin noticed the remorse reflected in her gaze.
"It's alright; halmeoni has already explained it to me. I understand. I just wish I had been informed earlier," he replied, a hint of sadness in his expression.
"I know. But I am here now, and I will not leave you. "Jimin's face brightened at her assurance; he was relieved that she intended to stay by his side.
I have come to understand that a young man named Jungkook is your companion. Is that accurate? she inquired, her face illuminated by a broad smile.
Jimin's cheeks flushed a deep red, overwhelmed by embarrassment. "MOM!" he exclaimed. "What? I am merely inquiring.
He himself mentioned that he was your companion. He is rather attractive. "Despite his embarrassment, Jimin found himself smiling slightly. She was indeed correct; Jungkook was quite attractive, yet that did not diminish his feelings of awkwardness.
He could not quite comprehend why he felt so flustered in Jungkook's presence or even at the mention of his name. However, it would be disingenuous to claim that he did not enjoy the sensation.
Greetings to all. I am returning with an update. You may have observed that I have removed certain chapters and combined them to create longer narratives.
I welcome any feedback you may have, so please do not hesitate to share your thoughts.
As previously mentioned, the absence of comments has contributed to a decline in my motivation to write.
I appreciate your support, as well as all the reads and votes!
