simone's perspective.

the next day, simone sat at her kitchen table, sipping her morning coffee and scrolling through her phone. the house was quiet; her parents had already left for work. she was enjoying the tranquility when her phone buzzed with a new message from an unknown number.

"you think you're safe, simone? think again. -A"

"better watch your back, dylan. -A"

she felt a knot tighten in her stomach. the message was vague, but something about it felt threatening. she looked around the library, but everything seemed normal. trying not to let it get to her, she put her phone away and tried to focus on her studies.

"hey, dyl. you alright?" one of her groupmated asked out of curiosity, she shook her head and replied "u-uh, yeah. yeah, i'm okay. we should just focus on the project" she smiled, with a mix of scared and confused.

her heart skipped a beat. she read the message again, confusion turning into concern. who was this person, and why were they targeting her? she scanned the room, but no one seemed out of place.

"thinking about shoplifting, pepper? those sunglasses would look great on you. -A"
