For centuries, the members of the L/n family and clan have been in control of protecting the sacred flower known as...
The Blue Spider Lily, a powerful yet dangerous flower to reside on this planet. A tool so powerful it mustn't fall into the hands of those who will use it for no good.
A gift yet a curse given to us by the Gods above.

Now, the flower lies within your hands. It is your as its guardian to protect the flower even if it kills you from within.

"You mustn't hold it like that" my grandmother says as she adjusted the wooden katana that lay in my palms.

"Like this grandma?" Simzu asked excitedly, a proud smile on her face as she knew she held the katana right. "Just like that Simzu" grandma said with a smile, patting my older sister's back.

Simzu, my dear older sister. At her young and bright age, she is one of the strongest people I know. Her strong ambitions and talent. She always amazes me and those around, my golden child, sister.

"Why do I have to do this, it's obvious Simzu is going to be the next guardian" I spat out, dropping the wooden sword.
"With so little faith like that" she says, "what do you mean?" I question. "Have some more faith in yourself, I see great power deep within you my dear" she says caressing my cheek.

Peeking past her stood Simzu crossing her arms with a frown, noticing my stare she sticks her tongue out at me.

"Let's end training for today, you both have studied and trained plenty enough today" she says with a smile.

Simzu and I being on a strict and tight schedule of training and having to study all sorts of things, the both of us having to be near perfect. For one of us will hold the great power of the flower.

One of us will be granted the power of the flower while the other will be handed to the Demon Slayer corps, working as a demon hunter.

And frankly and I wish to do either of those.

To be killed by the flower from within or to lose my life in the face of battle, both bring me great fear.

"What's happening to mommy! Dad why can you let us see her!" I cry out as I try to fight out of my father's arms.
Peering over my father's shoulder seeing through the slightly opened door, something I wish I have never done.

There laid my mother, sickly. Her body lay paralyzed as the roots of the blue spider lily began to take over her body.

"Mommy! Mom!"

My mother, the latest keeper. In the records they say she was the strongest, the only one to hone the flower's capabilities.
The longest to withstand the flowers curse of torture. Due to her greatness, those around us expect far too much from Simzu and I.

"What's the matter Y/n?" I hear my grandpa ask, pulling me out of my thoughts. "You have barely eaten your food, you must eat lots to grow big and strong if you want to be the next guardian" she says in a concern tone.

"I don't want to be the next guardian and I don't want Simzu to be either" I say loudly, my voice laced with the undertone of fear.

"Only those who are chosen can withstand the flowers power and because of that, this burden sadly will fall onto one of you two girls" she says with a sigh.

"If I could take away this responsibility from the two of you, I would wish to be the guardian myself" she adds on.
"It saddens me just as much as it scares you but do not let fear control you, you are so much more stronger than that" she lectured.
