"She's getting ready to play the piano, she has been practising for a while," Ethan said.
Soft music played as Asher marched in with his father holding his hand. Seated heads turned with mouth widened, dumbstruck by his magnificent dress.
Tristan beamed, his gaze hypnotised as Asher walked. Everything about this man is enchanting, his head to his toe seems surreal, it's like I'm in a fantasy.
Asher chuckled as they locked eyes with each other, his lips hidden behind a white rose bouquet. Aww, he looks so cute, I've never seen him smile this much.
Tristan held Asher's hand, and turned to the officiant in front. He cleared his throat.
"Do you, king Asher, take Tristan to be your husband to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until parted by death?"
"Yes, I do." Asher flashed a smile at Tristan, from the corner of his eyes.
"Do you, Tristan, take king Asher to be your husband to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until parted by death?"
"I do," he said.
Asher took Tristan's hand then raised his gaze. "I promise to be your lover, companion, and friend. I will be your comrade in adventure, your accomplice in mischief, your comfort in disappointment, your strength in times of need and your partner in all things for all my life." Asher placed the ring on his finger.
Tristan stared into Asher's eyes and lifted his hand. "Three words are stronger than I love you. Today I stand before you to say, 'I choose you'. I choose you over all others. I choose you to share happiness with. I choose you to care for. I choose you to have a family with. I choose you to grow with. I choose you to love forever." Tristan slipped the ring in Asher’s finger.
"You may now kiss the male bride," the officiant said.
The crowd clapped as Tristan opened his veil and pulled Asher into a passionate kiss.
The music continued, there was enough food and drinks for everyone. The guests returned safely to their homes by noon. …
Tristan looked in his emerald eyes, as if being pulled by magical vines into a rabbit hole of wonders. "You're the most beautiful person I have ever seen."
Asher blushed, running his fingers on Tristan's bare chest. "Says the hottest man alive."
Tristan gripped Asher like he would never let go, their bodies glued to each other. He said in a deep low tone, "I love you so much, please, always remember that."
Asher paused. I've not seen his dramatic side before. This is such a turn on for me.
He threw his hands around Tristan's neck with a smirk. "Honey, kiss me."
Tristan kissed Asher— his hair, forehead, eyes, nose, ears, cheeks and mouth. He re-learned every detail of Asher's skin with his fingertips, from its curves, to its smooth and delicate nature, to its sensitive spots.
Tristan kissed every inch of his body until he moaned. He thrusted slowly and deeply, Tristan observed his tiniest expression and change in reaction. …
Asher woke up to birds chirping outside. He darted to the empty bed and rubbed his eyes.
Asher bit his lower lip with a sly smirk as memories of last night flashed in his head. I had the best sex yesterday, Tristan was so gentle and touchy. I wonder why, maybe he was saving this side of his for our wedding night.
Asher wore his white night robe and searched for Tristan in the room but found nothing. He paused at his dressing table with his eyebrows crumpled. "Hmm? I could have sworn I left my accessories here."
He opened the door to find his parents standing with dilated eyes. "Half of our gold boxes are gone," Alice said.
"And we haven't seen those common- I mean family members," Owen said.
Asher slowly darted to the empty bed. "I can't find Tristan too."
His parents stared at him with their mouth slightly opened. Asher reassured. "I'm sure there must be an explanation, let's not jump into conclusions, we'll search for them."
Asher sent his guards. "Do not hurt them, I repeat, do not hurt them," he emphasised.
He mounted on his white horse with Scarlet behind.
His parents hurried to him. "Where are you going?"
"To find my husband, I'll be back soon.
“Canter!" Asher flung the reins and squeezed its side, the horse ran at full speed.
He pulled the reins at a junction, where a group of guards chased two gang members. Asher hurried past the guards to speak with them. "Guys, it's me, why are you running?"
The men in black zoomed as the castle gates were about to close. They slipped under, and out of Ashernia.
"We're not gonna make it," Scarlet said.
"Yes we will," Asher waved the reins again, keeping an eye on the closing gap.
Scarlet grabbed Asher from the horse, and leaped. They stumbled onto dirt, rolling out a second before the gate closed.
"We made it," Asher sighed, then dusted himself.
"Are you crazy! We almost got smashed to death," she yelled.
"Look," Asher pointed to the gates of an abandoned building. "Let's go."
Scarlet darted as the gate closed immediately they entered. They were surrounded by the gang members, holding weapons.
Scarlet drew her sword. "Stay back, my king."
