7:02 am

You quickly rushed out of your apartment building into the cold streets.You had to get to work by 7:30. You barely slept last night so you felt extremely exhausted both mentally and physically.

You walked through the back door of the cafe as it was where all employees were instructed to go through. You were a waiter at one of the most popular cafés in your area. It was called "latte lounge".It was a large cafe with a beautiful postal decor that gave it a unique charm. With an outdoor seating plan which was perfect for people to enjoy the view of the city.

It was currently filled with workers visiting on their way to work, what better way to start your day than with a cup of coffee.

You put on your apron, gave a few casual hellos to your colleagues and started your shift.

10:00 am

You had 1 more hour for your shift to end and you were quietly sitting in the back til you were needed or because you felt lazy plus you had to wait because your boss had an announcement.

"Hey charles how ya doing?" It was your best friend Nathan whom you had called this morning. He was slim, somewhat muscular with brown hair tied in a never neat bun and light brown eyes. He was quite attractive

"A bit better...I think". He was also a waiter. You barely noticed each other when you were working but everyone knew you were close just by the way you talked to each other.

"I can walk you home today, my house isn't that far anyways"

"No don't worry, my shift ends soon away and it's broad daylight, he's not just gonna appear"

"My shift ends the same time as yours y'know?

"Don't worry"

"You're not changing my mind"  he said playfully

"Fine you win" you said laughing. Thank God you had Nathan, you wouldn't be the same without him

"C'mon let's go don't be lazy" He said as he picked me up from my seat, while I dragged my feet on the ground muttering curses.

11:02 am

You all stood in the staff room with your boss in the middle beside him was a boy he looked around your age with dirty blonde hair and striking green eyes he looks like a fucking god

"Good day everyone, I would like to introduce you to Liam, he's the new waiter taking Kara's place" he said referring to a former employee who had quit for no reason. The name was such a coincidence but you didn't take much to it

"Charlie please show him how things are done, you can all leave". Everyone left the room " I'll be waiting" Nathan said also leaving the room, his demeanor had changed since Liam arrived

You both stared at eachother silently as you motioned for him to follow you. You showed him around and told him what and not what to do. You felt his gaze on you the entire time and he made you feel a familiar way.

"What shifts do you have "  You had finished showing him around and you both were outside at the side of the café, you were waiting for Nathan who had gone to get something and you wanted to know more about him.

He stared at you for a while and then answered "morning and night shift".

You stood there frozen his voice, the name can be taken as a coincidence but his voice, the voice you heard in your dreams , the voice you heard on the phone. You immediately started running towards your car, you got in and stared back at the café ,he was still there and he looked somewhat confused why the fuck does he look confused he knows what he's done

You started the car and left the café, there was no way you'd come for your night shift knowing he was there maybe he planned that too.  You were going to give Kara a call when you got home and also Nathan this has gone too far
