GAME ONE
THE team had just woken up well for the most part everyone, Mariana laid in bed just on her phone texting. At this point the whole team was waiting on her they had begun to become annoyed and sent Nelson up to check on her. "Mariana" he walked in to see the girl on her phone laying in bed. She was quick to place her phone down.
"Hi boyfriend" she smiled at him. Nelson walked over to her and grabbed her hand trying to get her up out of bed.
"You need to get up everyone is waiting on you." He started to go over to her clothes and pick out an outfit. "Comfy right?" Mariana nodded and hummed in response. Nelson looked back at the girl to just see her on her phone.
"Nelson I don't want to go and theoretically I don't have to." she laughed and got under her blankets again.
"You have to. You want to watch me. Yes or no?" Mariana nodded in response. "Then get up." after a while she got up changed into what Nelson had chosen for her. Nelson respected her and never looked at her while she changed instead he was on her phone scrolling through her Instagram feed. A message popped in are we still going to hang out when you come back? Nelson read out loud, "Do you want me to answer?" He didn't see anything wrong with this he just assumed it was a friend. Mariana yelled back no. Now that's when Nelson got a weird feeling "Who is it?" Mariana replied with nobody. Once again yelling. Nelson went back to instagram to see another message pop up mariii IMY! Mariana had now gotten out and grabbed her phone from him. "Who is it?"
"Friend, got a new phone so I haven't saved the contact yet." Nelson nodded in response. "Okay let's go!" she grabbed her bag and threw a couple things in there, and walked out the door Nelson followed right behind her. The whole bus ride it was a pretty calm time the two were just talking where occasionally they would just be sitting and cuddling. They then arrived to the courts, but ended up going to the backroom. Cam was now filming the intro, the whole team was just running around and getting ready. Nelson handed Mariana his spare jersey which she put on, the two kissed Mariana smiled at the boy. Now they all headed upstairs to their court where a lot of people already were. Everyone was calling Nelson's name which made her laugh.
The team was doing the stretches. Mariana and Cam were standing and talking together, "Mariana, what's the like goal? For game three, since Nelson is a little busy we have to compromise."
Mariana side eyed Cam and then the two laughed, "75 thousand, I think that's doable"
"75 thousand you heard it here." Cam and Mariana had gotten much closer over everything, the two talked a lot of about the team's potential and progress. Mariana saw things many others didn't. Cam really understood her and the two were like a coach, and his much tinier assistant coach. The whole team was talking about the seven foot giant that they happened to be going against. Now they all started doing there huddle, talking about everything and the starting. They did their chant before starting and moved on.
