I walk through the vinyl store quietly and boredly. I had nothing else to do.

it was a cold rainy day, my boyfriend had just broken up with me and he had told all our mutual friends I cheated on him, I didn't. so I decided to go to the vinyl store to look for a new album, anything that seemed interesting..

as I stare at the album covers you see one that catches my interest, its a baby in the water, swimming towards a 1 dollar bill. it was that nevermind album that got really popular...the lead singer was pretty cute...not that I'd ever get to meet him. I decide to pick up the album, I mean I'd only really heard smells like teen spirit but i liked it and it was my genre anyway.

as I pick up the album and walk up towards the checkout but bump into someone

"sorry!" I say as politely as possible as the man hands me the album I dropped. "good album choice.." he says quietly, "thanks, I seen it was really popular and wanted to check it out.." I reply as I look at at him...He looks familiar..."I made it" he says in an uncaring tone. That's who it is! its Kurt Cobain! I attempt to stay calm even though I'm talking to this new cute celebrity. i begin to stutter. "oh- uh! wow...you..uh..you make great music!- I mean I've only heard smells like teen spirit but-" he cuts off my rambling "its okay" he says calmly.

I don't want him to leave so I decide to keep up small talk, "alright...uhm...so what's your favourite song on this?.." he raises his eyebrows slightly "hm..thanks for asking...definitely drain you...Its my favourite to sing and play" "oh well ill definitely listen to that one" I say with a soft smile. I mean even if never saw this guy again he still made my day better and now I have the bragging rights that I bumped into Kurt cobain.

after a minute of comfortable silence Kurt finally speaks up "you could listen to it...with me?" he looks at the ground seeming pretty nervous.

holy. shit. did he really ask that- maybe it was platonic- nobody asks that platonically..i mean im not complaining! not at all! I just cant believe it...shit! I've been completely silent for like 2 minutes!

"uhm- uh..sure" I say awkwardly, I am definitely bright red right now but who cares.
