Joe takes Angel on a date

Angel's POV
I ran out of my dad's dressing room, and went to talk to Wolf and Vivienne. I was so happy to know that they would be here for the year.

"Hey Wolf, and Vivienne, I can't believe you guys are here." I said to them, as I approached them.

"Yeah, we were happy when our dad told us, we would be on tour with you. But we were told it was a surprise for you, and we both are bad at secrets, so we couldn't message you, until you found out. Otherwise, we would have ended up telling you." Wolf said.

"Oh, I understand. I'm not good at keeping secrets either." I said. I do understand, why they couldn't message me. I really was bad at keeping secrets as well.

After I said that, Joe walked in the room. "Oh, Wolf, Vivienne, this is Joe, my boyfriend. Joe, these are the kids that I told you about, the ones that I made friends with." I said, introducing them to each other.

"It's nice to meet Angel's new friends. I'm really glad you guys became her friends. She needed more than one. Who wasn't also her boyfriend." He said, partially joking.

"It's nice meeting you too. We didn't know she had a boyfriend though.". Wolf said, shocked.

"I guess, I forgot to mention that." I said a bit nervous, and embarrassed. I don't want them thinking I'm keeping secrets from them. I really thought I had told them about Joe being my boyfriend.

"It's ok, Angel. How long have you two been together?" Vivienne asked.

"Two year, and one month." I said, happily. I really love Joe, and I hope we can continue to stay together.

"Oh wow. That's awesome." They both said.

"Thanks." I said, as I hugged Joe.

"Well, it was nice seeing you guys. But Angel and I need to go. We will see you guys later." Joe said to them.

"Oh, ok. Bye Angel, bye Joe." Vivienne said, sad and confused. I was confused too. As far as I knew, we were going to stay here and watch the concert.

Joe gently pulled me away from my friends. "Hey Angel, I have something I need to ask you. It's why I said we needed to leave. But uh, as you mentioned, we have been together for two years now, and I want to take you to a special restaurant. Will you let me?" He asked, in a way that told me he wanted me to say yes.

Which I did. "Of course. But, who's going to take us? Neither of us drive." I asked.

"Your mom is going to take us. I already asked her." He said, smiling at me.

"Oh, ok then. Let's go." I said. We went looking for my mom, and as soon as we found her, we left.

Joe surprised me, with a fancy restaurant. It's a good thing I had decided to wear one of my nicer dresses tonight, cause otherwise, I would be under dressed for this.

I noticed Joe was hiding something behind his back, when we got out of the car. But he wouldn't let me see it, until we got to the front doors of the restaurant.

My mom had left us here, so we could enjoy this night together. She said she would pick us up, when we were done.

"Here Angel. I had your mom help me pick out some flowers for you." He said, as he brought, what he was hiding, out from behind his back. He had a dozen roses, that were different colors.

I took them from him. "Oh, thank you Joe. They are beautiful." I said, as I hugged him.

"Just like you." He said, then he kissed my cheek, and we walked inside the restaurant. I blushed when he kissed my cheek. I enjoyed his love. He was so sweet.

Joe told the lady at the counter, that he had a reservation, and told her his name. He also whispered something to her, but I didn't hear what he said.

Then, she took us to our table, and we sat down. She handed us our menu's, then walked away.

"What did you say to her?" I asked Joe, as soon as the lady was gone.

"You'll see, Angel. I promise it's nothing to worry about. It's just another surprise I have for you." He said, as he gave me a side hug.

That only made me more worried. I sighed. I don't like being worried all the time, about every little thing.

"It's ok, Angel. Calm down. I promise, you will love the surprises I have for you." He said, as he tried calming me down with a hug.

I took a few deep breaths, to calm myself down. I really wanted to believe him, but my nerves were trying to get the best of me.

I have a feeling this may be a long night. A few minutes later, our waiter came by and asked what we wanted to drink.

We both got a sweet tea, then we ordered an appetizer as well. Once he wrote everything down, he walked away.

We sat in silence for a while. It made me uncomfortable, with us being so quiet. But, I have a feeling, it's cause Joe doesn't want to say anything to upset me.

The waiter came back with our drinks, and our appetizer. "Are you guys ready to order, or do you need more time?" He asked.

"I'm ready, but what about you, Angel?" Joe asked.

"Uh, yeah. I'm ready to order too." I said,  slightly zoned out.

We told the waiter what we wanted to eat, then he walked away. We both started eating the appetizer. I was hungry, but I also, was lost in thought most of the time.

"Angel, are you ok?" Joe asked, worried.

"Uh, yeah, just, I want to know what is going on." I said, a bit upset.

"You will soon, I promise." He said, as he gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I slightly smiled, and calmed down. His love, is the only thing that makes me smile. Especially when I'm upset.

I enjoyed the rest of the time we spent here. It was nice. When the waiter came back with our food, we thanked him, and enjoyed our food.

After we were done eating, we stayed here, talking for a bit. Then, the waiter came back, with something I wasn't expecting to see. He had a cake with him, and he sat it down in front of me.

It had "Happy 2 year anniversary, and 14th birthday Angel" on it. "What is this?" I asked Joe, shocked.

"Well, it is our 2 year anniversary of dating, and I missed your birthday. So, I figured I would celebrate it together, tonight. So, happy belated birthday, and happy 2 year anniversary, Angel. I love you." He said, as he kissed my cheek.

"Awe, thank you, Joe. I love you too." I gave him a kiss on his cheek. He is the best thing that ever happened to me.

"Oh, and to answer your question, now. This is what I told the lady earlier. I told her, it was a very special night for us. That we were celebrating our anniversary and your birthday. I asked her to tell our server this, and to surprise you with a cake, after we were done eating. You're welcome." He said.

I just rolled my eyes in a happy way. I should have known, this is what he was up too. I really need to stop overthinking about everything, but I can't help it. I'm going to try and not overthink like that anymore.

I do trust Joe, but sometimes my mind starts to question him. "I'm sorry, Joe. I should have known, this is what you had planned. I just let my nerves get the best of me." I said, a little embarrassed.

"It's ok, Angel. I understand. But, you do trust me, right?" He asked, a little worried.

"Yes, I do, and I shouldn't have let my mind think otherwise. I'm so sorry." I said, wanting to cry now.

"It's ok, Angel. I want you to know, that I will never do anything to hurt you. I promise you that. I love you, more than anything." He said, as he took both my hands in his.

I smiled at him. "I know, and I believe you. You mean everything to me, Joe. I love you so much." I said, as I hugged his neck.

He wrapped his arms around my waist, and hugged me. I am officially the happiest girl in the world.
