Anna sat in the living room, her eyes glued to the television screen as she absentmindedly flipped through channels. Her boyfriend, Troy, paced around the room, his hands stuffed deep into the pockets of his jeans. He stopped in front of her, his face contorted into a half-smirk, half-frown. "You know, you should really try to be more outgoing at this pool party next week," he said, leaning against the arm of the couch. "You know i find your shyness cute, but i think it's time you let your hair down and make some more friends."

Anna glanced up at him, her cheeks flushing slightly. "I'll try," she murmured. "I just... I don't know how to be outgoing, you know?" She let out a small laugh, which sounded forced even to her own ears.

Troy shrugged. "That's why you should go with the flow. Just do whatever feels right in the moment, you know?" He gestured vaguely toward the front door. "And who knows? Maybe you'll make some new friends along the way."

Anna nodded slowly, her heart beginning to beat a little faster at the thought. She stood up from the couch and walked over to her bedroom, contemplating what she should wear to the party. Troy's words echoed in her mind as she surveyed her wardrobe. Maybe I should try something a bit more daring, she thought. Something that I wouldn't normally choose.

With a deep breath, she rummaged through her drawers until she found the bikini Troy had given her a few years ago, not knowing it was a prank disolving one. He had forgotten about it, thinking it was a normal gift. She held it up in front of her, admiring the bright colors and the flattering cut. Maybe this will be just the thing to help me let loose, she mused.

The day of the party finally arrived, and Anna found herself standing in front of the mirror, adjusting her new bikini. Her heart raced as she took in her reflection. She looked confident, sexy, even a little daring. A thrill ran down her spine as she imagined what Troy would say when he saw her.

Taking a deep breath, she stepped out onto the porch, the bright sunlight warming her skin. The backyard was already filled with people, the sound of laughter and music filling the air. Her gaze swept over the crowd, searching for Troy amidst the sea of familiar faces and new ones. She spotted him immediately, standing near the pool, his eyes locked onto her as she made her way across the lawn.

Anna felt a mix of nervousness and excitement as she approached him. His expression was unreadable, but she couldn't help but feel as if there was something different about him. As she drew closer, she noticed that he seemed... alarmed. His brow was furrowed, and his eyes darted around nervously. She wondered what could be wrong.

She reached him, her hand on his arm. "Hey, you okay?" she asked, her voice gentle. He didn't respond right away, just continued to stare at her. His gaze flickered down to her chest, then back up to her face. His Adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed.

"I... I didn't realize you'd be wearing that," he finally managed to say.

Anna blinked, confusion flitting across her features. "What do you mean?" she asked. "You gave it to me."

Troy hesitated, his Adam's apple bobbing again as he swallowed hard. "I... I mean, its nothing. You look great, Anna. You really do." His voice sounded forced, and he glanced away from her. Anna felt a prickle of unease at his reaction.

She studied his face, searching for any sign of what was going on in his mind. He looked uncharacteristically nervous, almost... guilty. "Troy, what's wrong? You're acting strange."

He composed himself, putting on a smile and lied. "Sorry it's nothing, i just got a bit confused in the sun, how about we head to the shade, away from the pool? I don't want you to get burnt." He gently took her hand and led her towards the shade.

As they walked, Anna couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Troy seemed nervous, she decided to ignore it and have a good time. She had made up her mind before the party started that she would go with the flow and not overthink anything. As they reached the shade, she looked around, taking in the scene. People were laughing and enjoying themselves, the sun sparkling off the water. The music was a perfect blend of upbeat and chill, allowing for both conversation and dancing.

Anna spotted a group of her friends sitting at a table, holding out a chair for her. "Come sit with us!" they called, patting the empty chair. She smiled and made her way over, feeling a sense of camaraderie wash over her. As she sat down, they immediately began to update her on all the gossip from school and work.

Troy, on the other hand, seemed distracted. He kept glancing at the pool, his expression worried. Anna couldn't help but wonder what was bothering him. She caught him looking at her several times, his gaze darting away when she noticed. It was making her feel a little self-conscious.

As the party went on, more and more people joined them at the table. Anna was having a great time laughing and chatting with her friends. Several men had even come over to flirt with her, and she couldn't help but blush at their compliments. She glanced over at Troy, wondering if he was okay with all the attention she was getting. He seemed preoccupied, his mind elsewhere.

One of her friends leaned in close, her voice lowered to a whisper. "So, what's up with Troy? He's been acting kind of off all night." Anna shrugged, unsure how to answer. She didn't want to admit that she had noticed it too.

Another man approached, offering her a drink. "That's quite a bikin... I mean, suit you have there. It really flatters you," he drawled, his eyes raking over her body. Anna smiled and took the drink, thanking him. She glanced at Troy out of the corner of her eye. He still seemed distracted, his attention fixed on the pool. Was he jealous? She couldn't help but feel a twinge of pleasure at the thought.

The man she was talking to continued to flirt with her, and she found herself laughing and enjoying his company. The night had worn on, and the pool area had emptied out. Most of her friends had left, along with many of the other partygoers. Now, it was just Troy, Anna, and the men she had been chatting with earlier.

Anna glanced over at Troy again, wondering if he was feeling left out or ignored. He seemed to easing up a bit now that most of the guests had left, maybe he had just been shy around so many people. She still felt a bit pissed of at the fact that he hadn't given her much attention during the party, i mean, he is suppose to be her boyfriend.

She turned to face the men in the pool, a smile playing at her lips. One of them winked at her as he dived in, the cool water enveloping his body. Another man, his broad shoulders and muscular chest glistening with droplets, swam toward her. "Come on in, the water's perfect," he said, his voice smooth and inviting.

Troy's gaze flickered between the men in the pool and Anna. He couldn't let her do this. She didn't know about the bikini top, and he didn't want her to find out like this. He took a deep breath and tried to steady his racing heart. "Anna, wait," he said, his voice sounding hoarse even to his own ears. "Maybe its time to go back to our room, huh?"

One of the men in the pool glanced over his shoulder at Troy, a knowing smile curling his lips. "Oh, come on, Troy," he said, splashing water playfully in their direction. "Don't be such a buzzkill. Your girlfriend's having a great time."

Anna couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement as the men continued to flatter her, encouraging her to join them in the pool. She wanted to show Troy that she could handle herself, that she didn't need his protection.

She glanced over at Troy, who was still standing awkwardly on the side of the pool. His expression was a mix of annoyance and jealousy. He looked like he was about to say something, but before he could, she decided to take matters into her own hands. With a confident smile, she dove into the pool, the cool water enveloping her body.
