It wasn't long after being in the dorms that Shoto had gotten a message from his father stating that Serena was refusing to go through with the contract because of his own actions and words towards her. His father was disappointed hearing that she was no longer willing to go through with it and that he had burnt the contract so she didn't have to deal with him. His father also stated that he knew what had happened with her when she was kidnapped with Bakugo and his lack of compassion towards her was the only reason the contract was burnt and no longer valid.

Seeing that she actually talked with his father about the contract pissed him off and made him upset as hell about what had come to pass. She truly wanted nothing to do with him and that was on him that it happened, before then she was completely obsessed with him. He broke that obsession with his cold, heartless actions and words. He knew he had to talk to Serena about what was going on and went to find her as he got out of his room.

When he got out of his room and went to the common area he saw that Serena was playing a game with Denki and they were rather close to one another. The smile that was on Serena's face he had never seen before, he wanted to see that smile because of him...not because of someone else. He hated that someone else was able to get the smile that was on her face. What did he have to do just to get that smile on her face while he was around her?

Shoto went up to the two of them sitting on one of the other couches as they finished their game round. Both of them saw him and Denki paused the game. "What's up Todoroki?" Denki asked him

"I need to speak with Ito."

"Whatever you need to say to her, you can say around me. She is my girlfriend after all." Denki said as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder

Hearing what he had, Shoto got more than irate hearing what he had. But he knew he had no right to be angered with what he saw in front of him. It was obvious that Sarina wanted someone who'd care about her and what she goes through-he didn't...or at least he didn't show that he did towards her. Shoto let out a sigh before he leaned against the side of the couch looking at Serena.

"My father informed me about what you had requested him to do. You are officially no longer chained to be around me, does it make you feel better knowing that you've done this?"

"Of course it does. Denki has more heart and compassion than you do, he talks to me and is around me more than you are. He shows that he wants to be around me, that he cares about what happens with me." She said with a nod of her head as she leaned herself against Denki

"Before I completely leave you alone...do you know why you were taken for? I get Bakugo, he was number one for the sports festival...but you? I don't understand why you were taken." Shoto asked

"The bastard that raped me some-how knew you and your father, he kept saying that doing what he had would mess up whatever plans you two had with me. I was blinded, bound and gagged so I don't even know who had done what had happened to me, what I do know is that I was in a shit ton of pain afterwards just because that asshole Bakugo couldn't keep his damn mouth fuckin' shut. I blame most of what happened to me on that asshole for not shutting his damn mouth. I didn't talk for many reasons, the first being that I couldn't find my medicine that night so I couldn't take my night time medication. My head wanted me to die, secondly if I had talked it would have made things even worse for me. And lastly...knowing that you were more worried about Bakugo than me...it made me upset. It made me feel like you truly didn't care for me. And sure as hell you guys were where we were to get him not me. If he hadn't taken me with him I probably would have been killed that day and I would have been okay with it." Serena explained

Shoto's eyes widened as he heard her speak "Do you think someone hid it from you?"

"I know damn well that miss 'oh you're a druggie' stole my chart from my bag and threw it out. I had to get a new one plus get more medication since I couldn't even find the bottles either." Serena said with her arms crossed "It is why from here on out I am keeping everything like that away from anyone I don't trust, which as of now you're on that list."

Shoto knew that he fucked up, but he didn't fuck up so much that she didn't trust him anymore. He didn't say anything more and just walked off, knowing that it was useless to get her to be with him once more. As he walked off Denki unpaused the game and talked with her about the game they were playing.
