(No One's POV)

The room was white feathers, and a girl clothed in a blood-red sheet, she knew she should not do this. But if she did not call to this demon, to save her, she would die. She cannot let that happen. She swallows hard and looks at the crow as it watches her. A black crow with red eyes. She watches the creature as it seems to be looking into her very soul, and it is. The Crow was a nameless demon at this time and when he was summoned the soul had smelled so good. It was mouthwatering. But when he laid his eyes on her, a young woman, just barely an adult in pain and looking at him with desperation and pain, but resolve. It made him feel something he never felt before. This feeling was more addictive than her very soul~ It was like a drug

(MARIE WAS 18 WHEN SHE MADE THE DEAL WITH SEBASTIAN)

"Think carefully." He says. "If you should reject the faith even this once, the gates of paradise will be out of your reach forever."

"My faith is gone, I do not believe in a God who would let me suffer like this." She says softly but with resolve dripping in her voice. She was determined to do this.

The demon chuckles as he finds it charming and stunning in a way, how the world broke such a sweet little lamb and how her God left her to him, to be swept up. What a foolish creator. Giving up an Angelic beauty like this. But All the better for the Demon.

"I will ask, but once more, do you wish to form a contract with me?" He presses.

"Yes! Yes, damnit!" She cries out. "I will give my soul, my heart, my anything! Just tell me do we have a deal!"

The feathers began to rise and turn black and then a wicked smile could be seen through them. She did offer anything, after all, ~

(Two Years or So Later)

Sebastian entered Marie's room and opened her curtains. "Mistress, It is time for you to wake up. For breakfast today, we have a lightly poached salmon accompanied by a delicate mint salad. I can also offer toast, scones, or pain de campagne. Which dish would you care for this morning?" He asked as Marie sat up. Usually, he just woke her and ensured she stayed awake. She tended to go back to bed.

"A scone." She said as she fixed her chemise and laced up her corset with some help from Sebastian before she tied the ribbons to keep her stockings up.

"Today you have a meeting with Mr. Hughes, the authority on the history of the Roman Empire. And this evening, Mr. Damiano of the Poseidon Company will be visiting you."

"Oh, is that the man I have in charge of stuffed animals at my factory in India?" she asked as she got her skirt and her blouse on.

"Yes. I'm told he's Italian. We will of course offer him all the hospitality the estate can provide.

"Yes, it is, from Jacksons of Piccadilly," Sebastian says and then stands. "I shall wait for you at the dining room, Mistress."

"Sebastian, I told you I do not like to be called that," Marie says. She never got used to being called by that title.

"I am afraid I cannot oblige by that wish mistress, as I am one hell of a butler, and I will always respect you." He says with a smile.

He wished he could be more formal with her, but he must wait until Marie gave him a direct order. You see, Sebastian was the demon she sold not only her soul but her hand in marriage as well. This means that one day Marie would be his, of course, she was unaware of this, thinking Sebastian would just eat her soul.

He turned around and Marie quickly grasped one of her darts and threw it at him. Knowing it would not harm him. He catches it with ease not even turning around.

"Well thrown, Mistress. Even so, let's save the games for later." He smiles at her.

She sighs. "I suppose you are right." She says and continues to sip her tea. She was hungry but Sebastian would scold her for rushing.
