Harlow pulled up to her mother house blasting her favorite gospel song "Fully Committed" by Kingdom. Mama Robertson met her only daughter half way off the porch with a hug. Harlow alway feels like a little girl again whenever her mother hugs her.

"Hey mommy." Harlow said releasing her mother from her hug.
"Hey there my Harlow." Mama Robertson said.
"I was hoping I catch you before you headed to the church." Harlow said
"Well Baby Girl you are in luck. I have a few minutes to spare. Come on in the house." Mama Robertson said.

The two Robertson women walked into the Breakfast at Tiffany theme house that Pastor Robertson called home.
Harlow heels echoed as she walked across her mother's marble floors leading into the living room. Mama Robertson motioned Harlow to sit next to her on the couch she spends majority of her evenings if she isn't at her church.

"So, tell me child what's wrong?" Mama Robertson asked.
"Why do you assume something is wrong?" Harlow asked back.
"Harlow you are usually at work around this time dear." Mama Robertson stated.
"Speaking of work that's kind of why I'm here." Harlow nervously admitted.
"I'm listening." Mama Robertson pushed.
"The Community Center was sold to a company and I was let go today." Harlow finally said it.

Mama Robertson face went sour with her disappointment expression.

"I don't want to tell you I told you so but, I did. You should've came and worked at the church like your father and I told you to." Mama Robertson wholeheartedly said.
"That's the thing mommy you never supported my love for art. Daddy did. You made it seem like daddy didn't want to help me with my studio when it was really you. He knew that I wouldn't find my purpose being your little protege if I decided to work with the church. I love you mommy but I just wanted you to hear the news from me before someone from the church came to you." Harlow said sounding hurt.
"Harlow Alexandrea Robertson. I will not be disrespected in my own home. I don't care how grown you think you are young lady." Mama Robertson yelled.

Harlow swallowed the little air that she graciously still has in her lungs.

"I'm sorry mommy. Listen I know you have to get going to the church so don't let me hold you up ." Harlow said standing up.
"Very wise. Come back for dinner we will discuss this again." Mama Robertson said standing up herself.
"What time is dinner?" Harlow asked.
"7pm. Please be on time because you know your brothers won't." Mama Robertson said.
"Yes madam." Harlow said giving her mother a kiss on her cheek.

Harlow walked out of her mom house her phone ringed as she walked to her car. Harlow didn't recognize the number so she ignored it. After the 3rd attempt to get her to answer Harlow finally pressed the green telephone to see who was blowing her up.

"Hello. Who is this?" Harlow hollered at the other end.
"Damn Ms.Robertson is this how you answer all your phone calls?" Niko asked on the other end.
"Oh ,hello Niko." Harlow dryly said.
"Someone doesn't seem too happy." Niko assumed.
"Says the guy who didn't offer me a job." Harlow said finally cranking her car up.
"Hey, now I thought we were friends." Niko said.
"I don't recall ever giving you the impression that we were friends Mr. Valentines."Harlow said while waving to her mom goodbye as she pulls off.
"I love how you say my name." Niko flirted.
"You probably have a million women saying your name." Harlow said
"You probably right but not like you do." Niko said
"What business do you have with me sir?" Harlow asked.
"Straight to the point I see. My kind of woman. What are you doing right now?" Niko said
"Not that it is any of your business but, I'm leaving my mother house." Harlow answered.
"Are you hungry?"Niko asked.
"Um, as a matter of fact I am." Harlow said
"I just sent you the address meet me there or you can park your car and I will send my driver to pick you up." Niko said
"I can drive myself thank you. I don't know you like that Mr. Valentines." Harlow explained.
"I hope to change that. See you soon."
Niko said hanging up on Harlow.

Harlow looked at the phone like no this negro didn't just hang up on her. She was going to call him back but decided to save it for when she see him. Harlow pulled up the address he sent and put it in her GPS. Harlow drove through Atlanta traffic welcoming the breeze with her windows down. Kacie must've been thinking of Harlow at the same time Harlow was thinking of Kacie because they both ended up calling the other one. Harlow waited a few minutes before dialing Kacie number again when her number popped up on her phone.

"Hello." Harlow answered
"Hey Low. How did the interview go girl?" Kacie asked
"You mean the interview your boss was unaware of that we were supposed to be having. It went great." Harlow said
"Hold on ,what do you mean unaware of? I personally told Mr. Valentines that I have a friend in need of a job." Kacie said
"You probably talked to the father but, the son was not informed of this little arrangement." Harlow said reminding Kacie of her affair with Niko father.
"I told you one little thing and your uppity ass won't let me forget it." Kacie said
"Girl, you know I love you don't be like that." Harlow said laughing
"Ya ya ya, did you get a job or not?" Kacie said.
"I don't know but he said he will be in touch." Harlow said
"Well, that's a good thing hopefully. What are you doing now?" Kacie said
"Meeting him for food." Harlow said
"Who is he?" Kacie asked
"Niko Valentines." Harlow said cheesing.
"I hope this is a business food run and not no trying to mack bull." Kacie said
"Why you say that?" Harlow asked
"Like father like son sis just be careful." Kacie warned Harlow.
"You saying that like I need to put my gun in my purse." Harlow said
"Girl you can't do nothing with that little PowWow." Kacie laughed
"The hell I can't. Here's a little secret I have a secret stash of bigger ones." Harlow said

Kacie laughed but little did she know Harlow wasn't joking. Apart of being the only girl and the youngest Harlow wanted to keep up with the boys so she always tried to outdo her brothers including being the closest to her father. LaMar Robertson was a strong proud black man but had a soft heart for his only daughter. He taught Harlow everything he taught his boys but with her he knew she would be better. He started Harlow with fishing, showing her how to gut a fish and when she got a little older he showed her how to shoot a gun. At, the age of 9 Harlow knew how to take apart a gun, clean and put it back together. Harlow got so good at it and that terrified LaMar not knowing if one day Harlow will be forced to use her skills.

"Be safe Low and call me when you leave." Kacie said
"Ok girl. I just got here talk soon." Harlow said
"Don't give him no coochie." Kacie said
"Girl bye." Harlow said hanging up the phone.

Harlow adjusted her dress and sprayed a little perfume even though she didn't need it. Harlow put a little gloss on her lips then got out of the car. Harlow mouth dropped when she realized she was standing in a Dave & Buster's parking lot. Good thing she had a change of clothes in the back of her car heels isn't for the weak. Harlow grabbed the bag and decided to change in the car since tinted windows come in handy. Harlow buckled up her blue jeans after putting on her multicolored blouse. She took her heels off and replaced them with her white sandals.
Harlow fixed her hair then texted Niko she's outside. Harlow walked towards the entrance way of Dave& Buster's where Niko greeted her with a hug.
The cologne, his fit, and jewelry made Harlow pussy instantly wet. She didn't want to admit it to herself how fine this man is especially if this food grab strictly professional.
