I took a deep breath as I looked at the police officers talking to the principal. Could this be my chance to help me and my little brothers escape? Or fail miserably and take the worst beating of my life?

I sighed and waited for the officers to leave the principal's office so I could talk to them privately. Soon their conversation ended and they opened the door to the principal's office. I stood up and watched them shake hands with Principal Bailon.

When Principal Bailon shutted his door I stood up and went over to the officers without a second thought. This is for my brothers. I thought in my head. "Excuse me officers." I said, when I got close to them. They stopped walking and looked at me.

"Hey, how can we help you?" One of the officers asked me, I took a deep breath and looked at the ground. "I think I need some help if you don't mind." I told them. The officers looked at each other with a worried expression.

"Sure what do you need help with?" The officer asked me, and I licked my lips nervously. "M-my parents." I stuttered, and they looked at me confused. "What's wrong with your parents?" The officer asked me, as he knelt down to my height.

"They hurt us." I answered, and the officer raised a brow and looked up at his partner. "How did they hurt you?" His partner asked me, but I didn't say anything. I don't know if it was because I was embarrassed or too afraid to tell them how they hurt us.

"Where do you live?" The officer asked me, as he took a notepad out of his pocket along with a pen. "526 Edgefield Drive." I told them, and he nodded as he wrote the address down.

"Why don't you come with us?" The officer asked me, I nodded and followed them out of the high school. They led me to a police car and I sat in the back. I saw the partner talking through a walkie talkie before he sat down in the passenger's seat.

"So do you have siblings?" His partner asked me, as he turned to look at me. I nodded. "Yeah I have two younger brothers." I told them, and they nodded.

"Are they in school?" He asked me, I shook my head and he nodded. "She doesn't let them go to school." I informed him, and he raised a brow. "Are you talking about your mother?" He asked me, and I nodded.

They were now driving on my street. My heartbeat was a little fast when the officer stopped in front of my house. "Wait here bud we'll get your brothers." The officer told me, I nodded, then I saw two other police cars pull up beside the car I was in.

I watched the police officers walk to the front door and one of them started knocking on the door. They knocked for a good minute. I started bouncing my leg nervously as I impatiently waited for someone to open the door.

Then the door cracked open a little and I saw my parents look at the officers with wide eyes. They talked for a minute but it felt like hours. Then they walked inside the house much to my parents dismay.

I waited for what felt like hours for my brothers when I saw my parents being handcuffed and taken to a different police car. I then quickly looked back at the front door to see if my brothers would come out but I don't see them yet.

Finally after five minutes my brothers came out of the house with the police officers and they led them to the car I was in. The officer opened the door and I quickly hugged the two of them before they could come inside and they hugged me back.

I then let them inside and an officer closed the door. I helped them with their seatbelt since they had only been in a car I'd say three times in their life. They didn't speak during the car ride. I think they're too afraid too. For being twelve and eleven years old they look younger than that, like eight and nine.
