Eli's Pov
I wasn't sure how to feel about being homeschooled than going into an actual school. I knew my brothers were excited though. Even if they were just at home learning it was still exciting for them.
I walked over to the school aisle. I barely had school supplies back at home, just one folder and two pencils. That's what my father called school supplies.
I grabbed a huge pack of wooden pencils, a black binder, and lots of folders. I threw them in the cart and went looking for more shit. I looked over at Noah and Milo who were grabbing random things and throwing them in the cart.
"Boys you don't need this." Dad chuckled, as he picked up a clipboard. "I think they got a little confused." I said, and dad placed the clipboard back on the shelf. I then grabbed a pack of highlighters, sticky notes, etc.
We then went over to the backpack section since Milo begged him. Noah grabbed two backpacks and was about to put them in the cart. When dad stopped him.
"You can only get one." He told Noah, who nodded and put the red backpack on the shelf and put the blue galaxy backpack that has a lunchbox with the same color to go with it.
"Ooh that's a nice one." Dad told him, and Noah gave him a small smile. My dad let out a small sigh. I know he wanted Noah to talk to him to hear his voice but Noah got to trust him first but I can tell that he is slowly warming up to him.
We then went over to the self checkout and dad paid for all of our stuff. We each grabbed three bags and began walking to the car. Dad unlocked the trunk and we put the bags inside then closed it.
"When do we start school?" Milo asked dad, as he was backing out of the parking lot. "Wednesday." Dad answered, and we nodded.
I sighed and looked out the window and watched as trees passed by us. Dad turned on the radio and we began listening to Part Of Me by Katy Perry.
"Oooooh dad look a candy factory can we go please?" Milo asked, and dad's eyes widened in shock. This was the first time Milo called Cameron dad instead of his real name.
"Uh yeah sure why not." Dad said, and he pulled into the parking lot and parked his car. Milo was practically bouncing in his seat.
We got out of the car and headed for the double doors of the large building. When we got inside we saw candy everywhere there were in baskets, dispensers, and shelves.
"How much can we get?" Milo asked, and dad smiled at him. "As much as y'all want." He said, and Milo looked at him with a big smile on his face.
We grabbed a basket and ran over to the shelves. I grabbed a clear plastic container of strawberry sour rings, gummy worms, and other gummies.
I then walked to a different aisle to see a whole bunch of popcorn on shelves. I grabbed the cheddar cheese one while Milo grabbed confetti popcorn and Noah grabbed pizza popcorn. I also grabbed a Superman pez, and a giant jawbreaker and a whole bunch of other shit loads of candy.
We went to a checkout and let's just say we spent a little over a hundred on candy. "Sorry." I apologized, as we walked over to the car. I think we've only eaten candy three times in our life.
Milo and Noah began eating their popcorn while I ate my gummy worms. "No need to apologize. I told you guys to take as many as you liked." He said, and I nodded then sat down in the passenger's seat.
Dad began to drive us home and he parked inside the garage. I hate the smell of garages. The mixture of gasoline and other chemicals don't mix tight with my nostrils.
I walked out of the garage and upstairs to my shared room and plopped down on the couch and continued to binge watch Malcolm in the Middle. I ate my cheddar popcorn as I watched the show.
Noah came into the room and began eating his giant lollipop and began watching TV with me. I then grabbed a bin and put some of my candy in it. I call it my secret stash of candy.
"Now we have no reason to leave the room. We have food, a bathroom and TV." Milo said, as he burst into the room. "What if we run out?" Noah asked, and Milo rolled his eyes.
"We go back to the candy factory." He said in a duh tone. Noah nodded then threw away his lollipop stick. "I'm getting me a drink." Milo said, then left the room and I looked at Noah.
"So much for not leaving the room." I said, and Noah laughed. "When do we go back to therapy?" He asked me, and I shrugged.
Then there was a knock at the door. We looked up and saw Jayden wearing nothing but shorts. Want to go swimming with us?" He asked us, and we shook our heads. We hate swimming with a passion.
"Okay well we'll be outside if you need us." He said, then walked away. "I'm gonna take a shower." I told Noah, and he nodded.
I walked inside the huge closet and picked out a black shirt with red and black checkered pants and then went into the bathroom.
I placed the clothes on the cabinet and then got undressed. I looked at my scarred body in disgust none of this would have happened if I just did what they said.
I sighed and walked over to the shower with a clear door. I opened the door then closed it. I grabbed some shampoo and conditioner and put that in my hair then washed it out. I then washed my body, wincing every time it hit a wound making it sting.
I then turned the shower off and the clear doors were fogged up from the steam the shower let out. I stepped on the bathroom mat and grabbed a towel and dried my hair and body off so I don't get the floor wet.
I then changed into pajamas and went out of the bathroom. Noah fell asleep there were empty candy wrappers around him and chocolate on his face. I giggled and then threw away the empty wrappers. I cleaned his face off with the sleeve of my shirt then tucked him in.
I walked out of the room and went over to the library. I climbed the big ladder and grabbed a book called All The Light We Cannot See. I read it multiple times. It was about a German boy and a blind French girl whose paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive World War 2.
As I sat down on a beanbag and began to reread the book I couldn't help but feel like someone was watching me. I looked around the room but saw no one. I shrugged and looked down at the book in my hands.
Unknown Pov
"Sir, I found them." I told the boss, through the walkie-talkie as I stared at young Eli through a window.
