"How do you fit so many people in one house?"
FIRST DAYS were never fun. Maddie already hated moving away from Nebraska and now starting a new school wasn't the most ideal situation. She missed her best friend Lucy, they'd known each other since preschool and now she'd probably never see her again.
The light shined into her room and Madison heard her alarm blare in her ears. She used to get up extra early to help her mom with chores and such but this time she didn't.
Maddie yawned stretching her body and throwing off her covers. Blair jumped on her bed and started to sniff her, this made her day just a little better.
"Morning, Blair." Maddie laughed, and pet the dog enjoying the feeling of her soft fur. She was a very energetic dog as her tongue was stuck out and she panted.
Maddie got up from her bed and grabbed her suitcase pulling out some clothes to wear. She wanted to make a good first impression so she had to pick the perfect outfit.
She decided to go with some jeans and cute pink top with her black converse. Maddie looked around for her backpack that her mom had bought her for school, she placed it on her bed and zipped it open to make sure everything was in there.
Becky peeked her head into her room to make sure she was awake. "Morning, Madison." Becky smiled.
Maddie didn't really like when people called her Madison so she only let her mom call her that. If anyone else did she just get this uneasy feeling in her stomach, she also only let her dad call her sunshine and sometimes her mom.
"Morning, mom." Maddie grinned, and slung her backpack over her shoulder.
"Hey, todays my first day too." Becky stroked her hair with a bright smile. She loved her mothers smile, she always admired how her mom was always so happy and bubbly, "make this a good first day."
"I will." Maddie nodded, and Becky kissed her forehead.

Becky pulled up to Frasier Street Elementary school and Maddie looked out the window seeing all the kids piled in. She was so nervous as just one little mistake could cause her whole school reputation here to be ruined.
Maddie was in 6th grade and was going to be in Jr high next year. She was joining into the school year late so catching up was going to be difficult as well.
"Have a great day, honey. I'll pick you up after school." Becky pinched her cheek, and Maddie nodded with a small sigh. "Make sure to go to the front office so they can give you your schedule." Becky added.
