Chapter 4

- As I said before, my name is Kanoa. And I am a robber. That's my job. I'm pretty good at it, because of some special features I have. Usually, I only rob people that are outrageously rich, like some kind of a Robbin Hood. I planned on finding a more stable situation, when one of my clients offered me a big contract, that would let me live freely without having to work.

- And we were that big contract ?

- Yup. And everything was fine until the dumbass over here decided to look at was what happening in Stark's labo, screwing up my plans. That's why I was caught in the act.

- Wait, you truly thought we wouldn't have realized someone broke into our base to steal... Wait what were you supposed to steal ?

- I was supposed to steal Stark's plans. Before you ask, I only know their exact localisation, not what they are and on what purpose my client needed them.

- Okay, okay. Let's suppose I did not see you in the tower and did not catch you, what was supposed to happen ?

- I would have give the plans to my client, he would have give me my money, and right now, I would be searching for a new house. See, you screwed everything ! I won't ever have my money and my client will surely search for me so I'll have to quit my job and go back to live in the shadows.

- Sorry not sorry. Now, last question, what are the 'special features' you were talking about ?

- Oh, that ?

I revealed the wings on my back.

- I have wings, and the ability to disappear, by making parts of me invisible. That is how I manage to live a life. But hiding my wings all day long is really tiring. That is why I needed this money. To live free from the restraints I put myself.

The ginger's face changed suddenly, highlighted by an idea. She turned to the rest of the group.

- Do you think the same thing as I ?

- I am not sure. Kanoa, don't move, we'll be right back.

They disappeared outside the room. I did not try to escape, after all, I had nothing to lose anymore.
