Ayzal: "What did you mean, then? If I’m interrupting, I’ll leave. I only came here to talk, but never mind. Allah Hafiz."

Ayzal starts to leave.

Amaya (chasing her): "Ayzal, please listen!" [holds her hand] "I didn’t mean it like that. You’re always welcome here! This is your office too. I just asked because you rarely visit unless it’s work-related. I’m sorry."

Ayzal: "I avoid coming here because of you and your so-called boyfriend."

Amaya: "Please don’t shout."

Ayzal (shouting): "I will! What will you do?"

Amaya (softly): "Nothing... I’ll just listen."

Ayzal: "What did you say?"

Amaya: "Nothing."

Ayzal (looking annoyed): "Hmm."

Amaya (teasing): "Are you done shouting?"

Ayzal glares at Amaya with her bombastic side-eye.

Amaya: "I mean... if you’re done, can we go inside?"

Ayzal: "Hmm."

Amaya: "There it is again, that 'hmm.'"

Ayzal: "What did you say?"

Amaya: "Nothing, nothing. Babe, why so angry?"

Ayzal: "Hmm."

They go back into Amaya’s office.

Amaya: "Now, say what you wanted to say."

Ayzal: "You know what?"

Amaya: "No, I don’t."

Ayzal: "Pagal aurat (crazy woman)."

Amaya: "What! You’re the one who started with ‘You know what.’"

Ayzal: "Forget it. Listen, your so-called boyfriend is cheating on you. I have proof."

Amaya: "So?"

Ayzal: "So, break up with him!"

Amaya: "Fine, I will. But find me a new boyfriend, then."

Ayzal: "Amaya! Why do you need a boyfriend when you have a best friend?"

Amaya: "You can’t satisfy me, babe."

Ayzal: "Astaghfirullah, besharam aurat (shameless woman)!"

Ayzal: "Amaya, what will you gain from all this? Pray to Allah and perform Namaz."

Hamza is sleeping peacefully when Ayaz barges in and jumps on him.

Ayaz (shouting): "Good morning, Hamza!"

Hamza groans.

Hamza: "Why are you here?"

Ayaz: "What do you mean?"

Hamza: "Why are you here?"

Ayaz: "Forget it. Let's go for breakfast."

Hamza: "Yeah, you go ahead. I'll join after I shower."

At the Breakfast Table

Hamza: "Assalamualaikum, good morning, Ammi and Abbu."

Mrs. Malik: "Walaikumassalam, good morning, Hamza."

Mr. Malik: "Walaikumassalam, Hamza."

Ayaz: "Good morning, everyone! Where’s my rasmalai?"

Raha (arriving): "Here I am!"

[Description]: Raha Malik, Hamza’s sister, Ayaz’s cousin – Sweet, cute, naughty, funny, the family’s princess.

Raha: "Assalamualaikum, everyone!"

Everyone: "Walaikumassalam!"

Raha: "What’s special for breakfast?"

Mrs. Malik: "Pancakes and sandwiches."

Raha and Ayaz: "What are we waiting for?" [They sit down as breakfast is served]

Mr. Malik: "Hamza, are the arrangements ready?"

Hamza: "Arrangements? For what, Abbu?"

Mr. Malik: "The party. Did you forget?"

Hamza: "Oh, that party! Don’t worry, Abbu. Everything is set."

Ayaz: "Uncle, you know Hamza – he’s quick with everything!"

Raha: "But there’s one thing he might not be quick at..."

Ayaz: "Huh? What’s that?"

Raha: "Only our bhabhi can tell if Hamza is quick or not." [She winks]

Ayaz: "Oh, I get it now!"

Hamza: “What are you both talking about?”

Raha: “Nothing, bhai.”

Ayaz: “Hmm, nothing, Hamza. Just nothing.”

Mr. Malik: “Hamza, leave them be. You know how they are. Just continue with your breakfast, and you too, Raha and Ayaz.”

Raha and Ayaz: “Ji, Maharani Sahiba! Aapka hukum sar aankhon par.”
