Chapter 9 - Enough of waiting

Both the males were awkwardly silent since the beginning of the ride.. Currently they were waiting for their drinks at the same cafe they visited on the previous day.. V occasionally glanced at the younger who was sitting opposite to him.. However Jungkook was looking down ever since he took his seat.. The atmosphere was getting tensed up after each seconds.. Taehyung sighed earning the attention form the other.. But Jungkook didn't raise his head..

"Your style?? umm why didn't you wear these in Korea??" V asked trying to initiate a conversation..

"Umm... I rarely wore it in New York too.. But there it wasn't a big deal.. Here people tend to judge us from our appearances.. So.." Jungkook finally met the elder's gaze.. V remembered how he said those words to Hobi last day..

"Umm.. your friend.. d-did he forced you??" V instantly regretted his words when he noticed the younger's shocked expression..

"No.. not that.. I mean.. you said.. aish.. forget it.." V shrugged his shoulders and looked away from the younger.. Jungkook found it to be cute..

"He didn't.. It was my decision.. He just helped me out.." Jungkook said nonchalantly.. The other hummed in response awkwardly..

"But why suddenly?" V couldn't help but ask.. Jungkook was taken back with sudden interrogation.. 

"Umm.. just for a change.." Jungkook looked everywhere but the elder's eyes..

"What about you??" Jungkook asked leaving the blue haired male tensed up..

"Me?? Umm same reason.. just for a change.. no.. actually it was Lola's idea.. Yeah.." V said trying to be convincing.. The maknae stared at the elder for a moment then shook his head in understanding..

"She was right.. this outfits look good on you.." Jungkook said with a soft smile..

"Thanks.." The blue haired male tried hard to not to blush but somewhat failed miserably.. But instead of feeling happy Jungkook felt sad thinking that V must have blushed reminded of Lola..

Another round of silence spread around the duo.. Soon they were served with their drinks.. and both of them left to V's car finally leaving the place..

"Well.. She is good.. Pretty and friendly.." Jungkook said looking at V who was concentrated on the road..

"Who?? Lola??" The older asked with a confused face..

"Yeah.. you both will make a good couple.." The younger mumbled remembering Jihoon's deceive.. He wasn't meant to say that loudly but he didn't regret it when it slipped it from his mouth..

"Couple?? Who?? Me and Lola??" The elder asked somewhat in a surprised way.. Jungkook hummed in a response..

"I might be a bad boy darling.. but definitely not into incest at any cost.." V smirked at the maknae whose eyes went wide in surprise.. The younger blushed hearing the sudden nickname from his crush..

"What??" Jungkook almost yelled..

"She is my cousin if you don't know.. Her father and my father are siblings.." V said shaking his head..

"But.." Jungkook paused for a moment.. That made sense.. Now he understood why neither his hyung nor others were surprised with V's closeness with the girl like they did it with Sophia.. Jungkook covered his face in embarrassment..

"I'm so sorry.. I -I-" Jungkook tried to explain but V chuckled widely waving it off..

"Umm.. hyungie.." Jungkook fidgeted his hands hesitating for a bit.. V stopped laughing and composed himself.. The blue haired male didn't look at the younger anymore yet he just hummed in response..
