I'm Mythic immortal 116 stars rn with a 82.9% wr this season and here is my analysis on the best hero for each lane as a solo player.
First off, obviously I'm going to glaze my boy Julian a little bit and say that he's the best mid laner. It's pretty controversial but I think he has such a universal kit that he is viable in any situation. The other mid lane meta heros atm are strong but none of them have both the mobility and the burst Julian has.
Now that I got that out of the way, it's time to get a little more serious. To decide the best EXP laner, I compared the WRs on the ML website to my own personal experiences in matchups and trying them out. Ultimately I decided that it has to be the hero with great damage output, good sustain fueled by the new concentrated energy, great mobility: Obviously, it's Julian again.
Of course, when deciding the best jungler it's better to consider mastery over a hero as heros such as Fanny and Lance can dominate in the right hands but fall short in others. As we are coming right out of tank meta and having a strong early game and high health is important, I decided that the best jg is none other than Julian, who doesn't need high health because you don't need to tank hits if the enemy is dead.
It was hard for me to decide a best roamers as I was actually a "roam main" myself and hold many roamers close to my heart. With so many great options right now like Tigreal, Minotaur, Diggie, and Mathilda, I knew I had to choose carefully. Thus, I looked over my own WRs and gameplays while seeing which characters had the most impact on the match and made the most game changing plays, and when I was done, it was obvious that the best roamer in the game is clearly Julian.
For the best gold laner, it's Granger. What? Of course I'm not gonna say Julian is the best gold laner, that'd be stupid, he's not meant to be played gold lane. To play gold lane you need to have strong basic attacks, high damage late game, and poke opponents from afar. The hero that has all of that is... Wait sorry I forgot my glasses, did I say Granger? I didn't see the screen properly, I was looking at the wrong emo. Of course the best gold laner is Julian.
