One year had passed and Mirabelle showed great success and improvement in her powers.

"Mirabelle," Xalvador said "come here! We need to run an errand."

"Coming!" Mirabelle said as she ran down the steps from her tower. "Where are we going? What are we getting?" She asked.

Xalvador smiled, "To the Lake of Avalon. Merlin asked us to go. For what, I haven't the slightest idea."

As they made their way down to the lake side, they were stopped by a bright light. A beautiful women dressed up in white shimmery velvet cloth appeared. It was the lady of the Lake. She gasped at the sight of Mirabelle.

"You are not wise for bringing that child here! I should kill her now!" Yelled the Lady.

"That is not necessary! Here," Xalvador handed the Lady a letter "Merlin sent us. What for? The letter probably explains everything." The Lady of the Lake took the letter and began to read. She smirked and glanced over at Mirabelle.

"Very well." The Lady threw the letter and disappeared, then reappeared suddenly.
"I present Dame Mirabelle of Y Dewin Nerthol, The Cloak, Mavaino. It shall help you travel. One wave of the cloak and you could be on the other side of the world. Use it wisely." With that the Lady of The Lake was gone.

Mirabelle examined the cloak, "My own Excalibur." She said smiling and then put it on, "How do I look?"

"The truth? It makes you look a little chubby." Xalvador said with a straight face.

"Shut up," Mirabelle glared at him, but then she remembered something, "Why did she want to kill me?"

Xalvador sighed, "It because of who you are and where you came from- I don't feel as though I should be the one to explain this, maybe Merlin should."

Mirabelle gave him a confused look "Tell me Xal."

"Fine, as you wish. Mirabelle, you were not born here in the mortal realm like the rest of us were. You were a product of magic on the Island Of Avalon. Legend has it a widowed witch who was infertile all her life finally found a way to create a child and have it not become evil. A child so pure, she was already destined to rid the earth of all evil. Many say that's why she, you, were born with Snow White hair. She had to hide her findings because if the Lady Of The Lake found her making you, she would have you both sent to the underworld. God knows what she would actually do to you or what the devil would do to you.

"That is where Merlin came in. The Witch supposedly contacted Merlin somehow to come and get her and the child, you, after the birth. Merlin got the message and waited, but The Lady of The Lake found out and sent her army to kill capture you both. So the witch had to make a choice. She only sent you to Merlin and sacrificed herself. Merlin knowing they'd come looking for brought you to an orphanage, and until at age eleven he'd find you again. And now here you are."

Mirabelle sat there quiet for the longest time, until she finally found some words to say, "How did nobody see the witch was with child?"

"Because she wasn't. Your were born through nature. Many say you came out of a tree, that's how you got your eyes. Green like the vegetation during a monsoon."

"Okay, now what was the point?"

"I beg your pardon?"

"If she was taken to hell, and I survived, what was even the point to have me if she couldn't be here."

"She probably believes you will save her. Sorry if this all upsets you."

"No, not at all. I was just curious, that's it. Now come on we should get back to the castle."
Mirabelle started to walk away from the lake when Xalvador stopped her, "Why walk when we can use your me cloak?" Mirabelle shrugged and walked back over to Xal.

"Well let's hope this works." he said while grabbing onto her arm.

She brought up the right side of her cloak and waved it around them both, then brought it down. It had worked. There they were standing in front of the castle.
"Good job, now come on let's get back to work."
