Instead of landing in the castle she landed a half a mile from it. Mirabelle knew that Morgan Le Fay must have put a spell on the castle so nothing magical could get in. So, she ran through the battle between the two armies outside the castle; dodging arrows and other flying objects. When she finally reached the castle's front doors they were completely gone. As she entered the castle she saw dead bodies of either sides knights littering the floors and it was eerily quiet. She made her way up to the steps when she heard a loud bang come from the library.
When Mirabelle got there the library doors wouldn't open, something was blocking it, but with a flick of her wrist, the doors opened and pushed the thing out of the way. No one was in the entrance of the library except the dead body of Moray, which had been the thing blocking the door. Mirabelle looked upon him in horror, but she just started shaking her head and mumbled, "That idiot got what he deserves."
As she went into the main library and saw Merlin laying on the floor. She ran over to Merlin and propped him up a bit on the wall.
"Merlin! Please say something!"
Merlin opened his eyes and whispered, "Behind you." With that said Mirabelle was flung to the other side of the library and landed hard on the ground. It was Morgan Le Fay.
Morgan laughed, "Clever girl, using my guards weakness to escape. I never thought you had it in yourself to tell a man that."
Mirabelle stood up, "There's a lot you don't know about me." All of a sudden she flung her hand to the side and pinned Morgan Le Fay on a bookshelf.
"Now!" Mirabelle screamed to Thomas and Salvador who just appeared in the doorway. They ran over to Mirabelle and all three of them started casting different curses on Morgan. None of them were working, until Xalvador step to the side and began casting the bondage curse. The only cure that was certain to work.
"Xal!You are not strong enough to use that curse on her!" Mirabelle's voice cracked. She knows that if she were to help him the strongest one would be they only person to survive it.
"Help me Mirabelle, you're the only one who can!" Xal yelled back at the two.
"No," Thomas said, "you will be trapped with her. There has to be another way!"
"There is none. Just do as I command!" Mirabelle was hesitant but she joined him. After minutes had passed the cures was complete. A bright light flashed and with a clank on the ground a metal ball dropped. Mirabelle sat in a fetal position on the floor.
"Mirabelle!" Thomas said in tears as he ran over to where she was laying.
Mirabelle looked up, "I could have done it by myself. I should have done it by myself. Xalvador was in the way. She's going to kill him in the bondage sphere."
Thomas ran his hand through her snow white hair, "He needed to be the one to stay in their with her, if you were gone we would have the next Dewin Nesaf." Thomas stood up and walk over to the ball to pick it up. "Xalvador was always the bravest one. He will always be honored. I shall hide this, so no one can unlock Morgan Le Fay."
Mirabelle shook her head the realized, "Merlin!" They both ran over to him. Thomas propped him back up and patted his cheek.
"If he dies so do our curses. Morgan Le Fay will escape and Xal will have suffered for nothing." Thomas said frantically. Mirabelle thought for a second. Then she remembered the story of King Arthur that Merlin had told her.
"I know what to do." She said calmly.
Thomas looked up, tears filling his eyes, "What?" His voice was soft.
"I'll give him to the Lady of the Lake." She softly said back.
Thomas' eyes grew wide, "No! Don't you dare! She imprison him! Keep him as a slave! She'll torture him at the least!"
"I have to! Think of all the things he has done! Think of everything changing back! Everything magic that Merlin has done will be undone and have never happened! You! Xalvador! Me! I'm taking him there and you can't stop me!" With that she brought Merlin in close and waved her cloak to transport them to The Lake of Avalon.
She put Merlin down and began to shout, "Please Lady of The Lake! Help! He's dying! Please help!" She kept repeating it over and over. Throwing sticks and stones in the water until she fell to her knees crying. All of a sudden she heard, "I can't help." Mirabelle looked up to see the Lady of the Lake looking back down at her.
"Why?" Mirabelle asked.
"Because he's betrayed me! And you," she chuckled. "You my dear are one of my biggest enemies. I will not help you."
"But you gave me this cloak! Why'd you do that if I was your enemy?"
"Because Merlin promised me a thing and I have yet to get it."
"What? What did he promise? I will get it for you!"
"It's not really his promise. More so, he told me about a promise that will be presented to be in the future. You could actually call it a deal."
Mirabelles eyes grew wide, "For my cloak, that you gave me over 4 years ago, I promise you Merlin as a slave. You must keep him alive though, or this deal will not happen."
The Lady of the Lake smiled. Then took Merlin and drug him under the water. With flash of light he was gone, but where he had sat laid his ring. Mirabelle walked over and picked it up. Engraved on it was 'To my successor and savior, Mirabelle.' She put the ring on. An electric shock went through her body. She knew she was ready to take his place.
"Mirabelle!" Thomas screamed at her, "You stupid girl! You betrayed Merlin!"
"I did no such thing. Here," she showed the ring to Thomas, "read it." As Thomas was reading it his mouth dropped.
"It says savior. And how do you plan to do that?." He asked.
"I have no idea, but I will save him. I will. I promise."
The. End.
