Chapter 1 - The Bite

My name is Kelly Johnson I am 17 years old I have long light brown hair and dark blue eyes and I wear glasses they are black, I live with my mom and that's it,  I have only one friend at that's my friend Jane,  we been best since we was in diapers this is how my story started.

The day that my hole life turned around, I was wearing a black and white hoodie that says 'G-eazy', and blue skinny jeans,  I had my hair up in a ponytail.

It was the middle of Fall and I wish it was spring again, because one I love the colors and it's not to hot or to cold.

But the point is that after school my friend Janeand I was talking about who house we were going to, we decided to go over her house because apparently my house is weird and boring.

Me and Jane never fight about stupid stuff only when it comes to who is hotter in 5 secounds of summer or which movie we want to see. We been friends since we was 4 and never kept secrets like if she like some one (Jake Brown the hottest boy in the Sophomore class but she thinks he's cute even if he's annoying), she would tell me everything, well not everything, but everything. But lately I've been feeling like she was keeping secrets from me, but it's Jane she is always weird.

Jane was wearing a white muscle tee that she got from a 5SOS (5 Seconds Of Summer) concert and skinny jeans and a blue jean jacket with black/white Converse.

Since Jane and I been friends my mother got used to me going over to her house but I guess she got curious and asked way

I told her the reason I go over Jane's house because Jane's mother is a foster parent and she is fostering twins there names are Dylan and Daniel they are 16 and Jane is having a hard time dealing with it.

I tell my mom everything even the boys I like and what is happening in school.

My mom is a single parent, and my dad left when i was 3 so i hardly know him. One time i asked my mom about him she said "Kelly your father wasn't fit to take care of a kid and that why he lift"

I asked her "Why didn't he leave before i was born"

and she said "Because he thought he could take care of a child" she said. So we never bought up him ever again.

When me and jane was walking to her house Jane was saying how Dylan and Daniel was acting so weired when she was talking to her mom about Werewolfs and asking her do she believe in werewolfs and she said no of course, then jane asked the twins and they got weird and change the conversation,

"Maybe they are werewolfs" I said. Then we laughed.

When we got to Jane's house her mom was there making brownies and Jane and I know something was up because Jane's mom never cook they usually get takeout or Jane cooks, one time when me and Jane was 13 we want into her house to find her mom cooking Jane's favorite meal chili dogs and fries with cheese but then to find out that her hamster died.

"what's up mom" Jane said

"Nothing why do you think something is up" her mom said,

"Because you're making brownies but if everything is OK, me and Kelly will be up stairs "

"Oh yeah i'm adopting the twins" her mom said under her breath then that's when everything turned a wrong direction,

Three years ago Jane's brother and father died in a car crash but Jane thinks differently she believes that somebody had killed them, she said that the files on what happened was totally wrong and that her father is always careful about driving expecally in the rain it like if he had the greatest vision in the world but I think it was just a freak accident but she doesn't believe so.

But this just made her mad

"It was bad enough you are a foster parent but now your adopting them now!, it only been three years since they died you can't replace Shane by making them believe their my brother. But the big point is that you didn't even ask me how I felt about it or even think about how I feel about it" Jane said, her mom looked sad and upset like something bad was going to happen to the twins, if she didn't.

"Ms. Clay she just a little mad she didn't mean it, We'll be upstairs, and I will try to calm her down", I said pointing to the stairs that Jane want  up, before she said anything else that she would regret.

When we was going up the stairs Jane was stomping like she was 5. When we got to her room Jane was talking about "How come she is adopting the twins" and " how come she didn't ask how she felt about the adoption" or how "what was she thinking, she can't replace him"

After a while Jane started to calming down and started talking about Jake Brown (her crush) and how he is so cute and hot and other stuff.

After a while Jane's dog Fido came in and and started barking and then he started to do his little dance that he do to tell Jane that he have to do his business. That's pretty much just him jumping up and and spinning around

Jane asked me, do I want to go with her and I said yeah sure because it was so much better then studying.

When we went outside we saw Fido running to the tree were he always do his little business at.

After he got done Jane said "come on Fido"

But instead of coming in the house he ran into the woods that is behind Jane's house, we aren't allowed in there, her mom was so weird about the woods I don't know why,

So then we ran behind Fido trying to get him before he got into the woods but he was faster then use so we lost him in the trees.

We started to call out for him "Fido, Fido come her boy" but we didn't her him barking.

"We could find him quicker if we split up" Jane said,

"No we can't what if something is out there i don't want to die and have you ever watched a scary movie that take place in the woods, they always die because they split up" I said,

"Kelly nothing is going to happen, there is nothing in these woods" Jane said,

"Ok if there is nothing in these woods then way did your mom tell use to never go out here" I said raising a eyebrow, knowing im right but then Jane gave a look and her looks are scary , so I agreed

"Ok, but if i die i well hunt you for the rest of your life".

So we splite up, I went left and Jane went right. I could still hear Jane calling out for Fido "that's good" I said in my head.

Two minutes past and i find myself calling out for Fido but i still didn't hear him barking but then I stoped calling out for Fido because i heared something and at first i thought it was Jane trying to scare me and it was working.

Then I heard Jane calling out for Fido a long way down so it wasn't Jane then i said "Fido is that you'' but it wasn't Fido either because i saw red eye's and fido have blue eye's. May be it's a nice little puppy that got lost and always had red eyes

"Good boy, stay" said holding my hands out

Then i heard it growling that what really scared me so I did the most stupidest thing i have ever done in my life, i started walking back very slowly but it didn't work because it started walking towards me, so I didn't think and started running and calling out for Jane to help me.

Then I looked back and it wasn't there behind me, "maybe it gave up because i was faster then it" I thought, but I was wrong it wasn't behind me, and it didn't give up either, it was right in front of me.

When I turned around it jumped at me and bit me on my arm then everything went black after that.
