I walked into Hot Top, my brother stayed behind, to his joy, to watch  the collection of bags of stuff that we both got. I walked into the barely lit room and smiled at all the jeans, shirts, and make up. I was going to get all the jeans I wanted but also didn’t want to go past my personal limit. Just because you have money doesn't mean you should blow it all.

About 10 jeans, 7 cute t shirts, 2 hoodies, and 5 bow ties later I was ready to check out. I stood in line with everyone else just waiting. I let my mind wonder and I took a chance by thinking about how things would be at my new school. I mean it is my last year of high school, but being the new kid always sucks.  And of course my mind wanders to the worst possible situations;

What if it happens again?

Could I handle myself better this time?

Will I meet anyone who would actually understand what I went through?

Would they care?

I was ripped apart from my train of thought, gratefully, as I got to the desk.

“Hello did you find everything alright?” I nodded not looking up at the deep voice quiet yet, I was looking for my wallet in my bag. When I found it I finally looked up and what I saw was a guy who was so many things at once.

He was beautiful, but in a harsh extreme way. He was cute but not in an adorable way. Not little brother cute but jaw dropping cute and his piercings made him all the more attractive. Usually I don't like it when there’s lot of face piercings but he pulled them off like no one ever before. Why do I feel like i’ve seen him somewhere before.

I realized I was staring but it wasn't one sided. He glanced at my face and then also started in on the stare down. Was there something on my face? Good lord he was so hot, but he was more than that. He had depth in those grey eyes.

I reached up and brushed my newly Ice White colored hair out of my face hoping to get rid of some of the tension. He blinked and looked back at what he was doing.

“Um, well, that’ll be 45.23” What why so low?

“Uh, sorry but i thought it was more around 100?” I looked at the stuff I had place up there to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. He pointed at a sign at the front. Buy one get one free on everything in the store. The sale, I totally forgot. I hadn’t meant to but i literally face palmed myself. I realized what I had done and I snatched my hand from my face like it burned my cheek but it was just me blushing.

“Oh yeah” I nodded. I was looking at the counter because I knew the amused smile on his face would make my blush even darker.

As he was counting my change back to me I caught a glimpse of his name tag. Justin. Oh god, i’ve always loved that name, this guy is kind of perfect. And probably taken, I thought.  How could he not be?

“And 54.77 is your change.” I collected the rest of it,  grabbed my bag off of the counter, and went to grab my bags only to be intercepted by a pair of large hands.
