Noooo guys my apologies for disappearing like that, especially cus I have like 8 chapters pre-written since like late April (it's January 2025 rn lol). I wasn't gonna continue this fanfic but I am going to cus I'm seeing people adding it to their reading lists and I don't wanna leave y'all hanging, I myself hate when authors do that.
I apologize again, and Happy New Year <3

The few hours passed quicker than the trio expected and at 9pm they were an hour into the flight. Only a bit over 12h left. Zoe was happy that she didn't have to fly alone and also because Lando was going with them. Ever since she was introduced to him, she hoped something romantic would happen between [Y/n] and Lando.

To her, it didn't matter that they've known each other for years. One could say that if something was gonna happen it would've happened already. But Zoe didn't agree with this.

Zoe was sure that both [Y/n] and Lando were hiding their feelings deep inside. The past three days, she witnessed more romantic interaction between them than [Y/n] ever had with her ex boyfriend.

She smiled to herself, feeling like a silent observer in their unfolding story.

"What are you looking at?" [Y/n] asked Zoe.

Lando and [Y/n] were watching a movie, right earphone in Lando's ear and the left one in [Y/n]'s, his head on her shoulder as he fell asleep.

"Nothing," Zoe smiled, "just thinking about this amazing weekend we've had."

"Thinking about your boyfriend, huh? Maybe you should invite him to LA."

"Maybe I should've invited mine alongside yours," she sticked out her tongue.

[Y/n] rolled her eyes playfully and went straight back to watching the movie.

As Zoe glanced at [Y/n] and Lando peacefully resting against each other, she hoped that this weekend had planted a seed of something more between them.

Many hours later, the plane landed on the LAX airport. It was about an hour after midnight when the trio collected their baggages. Soon after that, they were on their way to [Y/n]'s car in the airport's parking lot.

"Are you sure all our suitcases will fit?" Lando asked, looking at the Bentley Bentayga.

"Are you kidding me?" [Y/n] scoffed. "My bag is the biggest so it's gonna go first, then Zoe's bag on top of mine and you'll take care of yours in the back seat."

"What? I'm not going in the back seat."

"I'm not letting you drive my car through my city."

"Your city? You've lived here for barely two years."

"Which means I know it better than you do."

With this playful banter they managed to fit all their luggage into the car. As they drove through the familiar streets of Los Angeles, exhaustion began to weigh heavily on [Y/n], but she planned on reaching the destination safely.

"Try not to kill us, please," Lando said, his hands gripping the seat in front of him.

"Chill out, backseat princess," [Y/n] shot back at him as she took a turn. "You're so dramatic."

"And you've just cut a corner! You're not an F1 driver."

"Did it cause danger to anybody? I wouldn't do it during the day with other cars around."

"It caused danger to my mental health!"

Finally, they arrived at Zoe's apartment complex, where they bid her farewell before continuing on to [Y/n]'s place.
