"but is it?" the witch seemed unfazed as she smiled ghoulishly at the emperor, "emotions can't be manipulated completely, not even by magic, emperor! you can live in denial, but there was a time you loved the that rashta of yours!"
"lies!" sovieshu bellowed, "i never loved her! she manipulated me!"
the witch only laughed louder.
"listen here, witch." sovieshu could barely contain his anger. he feared he might actually kill this woman if they continued on this topic, "i require a solution to a problem of mine, and you're going to help me ."
"help?" the witch giggled again, mockingly, "haven't i just informed you of how my services work, little emperor?"
sovieshu ignored her remark determinedly, sheathing his sword lest he lost control and actually killed the only person who could help him out, "i seek a cure. a cure for infertility."
"why is that?"
sovieshu gritted his teeth as the witch grinned grotesquely at him. he could see it. the way his inner turmoil and rage entertained her. to her, his anger was nothing but a child throwing a tantrum. she didn't see him as someone to be respected, much less an emperor.
"i need an heir, witch. the eastern empire needs a future ruler."
"hehe. hehe." the witch let out another snicker, "why is that a valid reason to ask for my assistance? i do not care whether the eastern empire has a future ruler or not."
sovieshu's nostrils flared, but he restrained himself from chopping that ugly old head off her neck, "you seek a payment? i will grant you whatever amount of gold you want."
"you should know of the rumors, little emperor." the witch wriggled her fingers at him, "i don't seek gold or fortune...i want something precious to you."
"what do you want, then!? land? property? a noble title?" he was growing desperate. as much as he hated it, he required her help. he could not let the vict family name die out at his hands.
