prologue

•Mahira•

"Chali kyu nhi jati tum ( Why don't you go away). Leave me alone yrr.”

She wiped her tears as she thought about what he said to her.

“Why am I so affected by what he said. We aren't even that close.” She said crying more and more.

“I will never disturb him ever again. I…I hate to admit it bu..but. I lo…lov..love him. I love that chuha. But he do.. don't love me. I will g..go.. away. Somewhere far away. It's not possible an.. anyways. Him and I ar…are..not possible. It's bett.. better to distance my.... myself....from him. This is what my life is. I'm meant to be alone. I should never dream about getting along with someone. It was my fault. Completely my fault. Maybe when we're ready, we'll meet again." She thought to herself.

I stood up to go. To go somewhere far away. It's getting dark. I don't know what time it is. And my body feels so numb from all the crying. Suddenly I hear footsteps behind me.

“Are they? No no why would someone follow me.”
As I walked down the dark alleyway the footsteps grew louder. There was a sudden rush of blood and I started sweating heavily.

“Who's there?” I asked. No answer.

The footsteps fastened. I tried to run but suddenly it was all dark. I couldn't see anything.

Am…am I losing consciousness? I tried to scream for help. Raunak. He would help me.

“Raunak” I whispered. But before I could do anything....it all went dark.

•Raunak•

“Pick up the phone Mahira. Pick up the damn phone.”

“Why are you looking at me?!!?. Go search for her. She can't leave like this.” I said to my best friend who is looking at me with pity.

“What? Why are you still standing here? You don't want to go? Fine.! I'll go search for her.” I said going towards the door.

“Raunak, you have a flight in 1 hour. You can't go. We'll find her raunak don't worry.” Ansh said.

“I don't give a f*ck about the damn flight. I want to meet my princess. I need to say sorry to her.” I said as I ran out to search for her.

“Take me to college uncle.” I said to my driver.

“Damn it. Why did I do it. I shouldn't have told her to go away. She must be hating me now. Where are you my princess? Don't test my patience.”

11:00 pm

“I sat on my window seat. I love window seats. It gives me a proper view of the sky. But right now all I can think about is Mahira. I wanted to tell her so many things but I couldn't. I couldn't even meet my princess for the last time. I hope she's okay.”
