Ahvi

Today is 4th Saturday and I don't have to go to the office. Tanvi also was free today.

We both decided to pack my things and then I would head to have lunch with my family while she, to her family.

Anyway, when we finished packing, I went to take a bath and Tanvi... well I don't know what she was doing.

I wore a navy blue-white kurta with a palazzo and a dupatta ( scarf worn by people in India ). I paired them with oxidized chandbalis and bangles.

I put on my juttis and headed towards the door. " Tanvi I am going to my parents' house "

" OK. Bye... Say hi to your parents from my side"

"Ok"

I yelled back a went out. I was about to book a cab when I heard a voice calling " Tera bhai yaha hai aur tu cab book kar rahi hai pagal" ( Your brother is here and you are booking a cab, you idiot.)

" Bhai yaar... " (Brother...) I huffed. He laughed and then kissed my forehead. " Come. Sit" He said while opening the door of his car. I smiled and sat inside.

Author's POV

Ahvi shifted uncomfortably in her seat, the sunlight streaming through the open car window tickling her bare arms. She stared out at the passing trees, their leaves dancing in the warm summer breeze. Her brother, Aryan, was humming something under his breath, his dark eyes fixed on the road ahead. The air was heavy with the scent of cut grass and honeysuckle, a comforting aroma that seemed to emanate from the very earth itself.

Soon they could see the white big mansion. Aryan drove his car inside the campus and parked.

Ahvi and Aryan walked side by side, their steps almost synchronized as they navigated the winding path through the garden. The sun beat down relentlessly, but a gentle breeze stirred the leaves above them, providing a welcome respite from the heat. They chattered about their childhood memories, laughing and giggling like the best of friends. The mansion, built by their ancestors centuries ago, loomed ahead of them, its grandiose columns and intricate carvings seeming to watch their every move.

Beside Ahvi, Aryan, slightly taller with chocolate brown hair and almond-shaped hazel eyes, wore a navy blue tuxedo. The dress of Ahvi flowed around her body like water, billowing gently in the breeze.

Ahvi followed Aryan into the mansion, her heart pounding with nervous anticipation. The marble floors were so shiny they could reflect her every move, and the chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings sparkled like stars in the night sky. The walls were adorned with paintings of their ancestors, their stern faces staring down at her disapprovingly. But she knew, they were very kind-hearted people. She chuckled and went on.

As they made their way through the grand hall, she couldn't help but marvel at the opulence surrounding her. Rich tapestries hung on the walls, and intricately carved wooden furniture was scattered about, each piece more beautiful than the last. The scent of freshly cut flowers filled the air, and the sounds of classical music floated down from an unseen room upstairs.

Finally, they reached the sitting room where their parents were waiting. Aryan gently pushed Ahvi forward, and she hesitantly stepped inside. Their parents, Mr. Rajveer Singhania and Mrs Payali Singhania eyes filled with tears as they saw her after a long time.

Her mother kissed her forehead and said " Kitne dino baad dekha hai main apni bachi ko. Bloody Ahujas because of them I couldn't even meet my daughter these years"

Ahvi chuckled and hugged her mother.

" My daughter doesn't even love me. " Her dad said with a huff and sat on the sofa with a pout like a baby. Ahvi laughed and hugged her dad too. Aryan and her mother also joined them.
