Next morning
Ahvi got ready and was about to head to the kitchen to make breakfast when there was a knock at the door. She opened the door and saw Aditya standing with a smile. He said, " Breakfast is ready Ahvi!"
Ahvi giggled and said " OMG Adi...thank you very much "
Aditya chuckled and they both went into Aditya's apartment.
When she entered his apartment, she saw that Aditya's apartment was exactly like hers. From the living room, one can easily see her living room. They even share the same balcony for their bedrooms. Aditya noticed her seeing the surroundings and he said while chuckling "Sorry that we have to share the same balcony. You know architect's fault"
Ahvi smiled and said " No worries Adi..."
The smell of coffee and pancakes filled the air making Ahvi's stomach rumble.
Aditya took her to his dining room and when Ahvi saw the table filled with food she asked " You cooked these?"
Aditya nodded and smiled.
Ahvi's eyes began to get moist. She remembered Rudra. She always used to cook for him but he would never taste it. Cooking for her is a long way off.
How many nights she had waited for him to come home but he would never show up.
'He was probably spending his nights with Rhea' Ahvi thought.
Aditya snapped his fingers in front of her eyes and Ahvi came out of her thoughts.
Aditya asked, " Are you OK Ahvi?"
Ahvi snapped out of her thoughts, smiled at him and nodded her head.
Aditya pulled the chair out for Ahvi and she blushed. She pulled her hair behind her ears with her fingers and sat on the chair.
Aditya also sat opposite her and complimented her to ease her nervousness away.
"You look beautiful today," he said, his gaze lingering on her features for a moment too long.
She blushed and looked away, her emerald green eyes darting around the diner."Thanks," she managed to say, her voice barely audible over the din.
"So what are you doing right now?"
" I am working as an assistant and make-up artist for Abhishek Sheikh "
Aditya nodded and smirked.
" Please start" he said pointing towards the food.
Ahvi nodded with a smile and cut the first piece of pancake.
She ate the first bite and moaned out.Aditya smiled and asked, " Do you like it?"
Ahvi said excitedly " Like it? I love it. You know I love pancakes. It's been years till I had them."
Aditya asked " Why? You don't know how to cook?"
" I know but it's just that I have a past."
Aditya nodded.
"I feel like I've known you for a lifetime," she continued, her voice taking on a wistful tone. "And yet, there's still so much about you that I don't know."
Aditya chuckled, leaning against the dinner table. "There's a lot you don't know about me, Ahvi. But trust me, there's a lot more you don't know about the world outside these walls." He gestured to the window, beyond which the bustling cityscape stretched out. "This city, this world, it's full of secrets, and dangers. And I'm not just talking about the ones you read about in books." His expression turned serious. "I wish I could protect you from it all, and keep you safe here with me."
Ahvi looked at him with a shocked expression. " How do you know about my reading hobby."
Aditya chuckled and said " I saw your book when I went to your house. Haunting Adeline, Icebreaker etc. etc..."
Ahvi chuckled.
Aditya's hand reached across the counter, finding hers, and squeezing gently.
Their fingers intertwined, and the warmth of his touch sent a shiver down her spine. She leaned forward, meeting his lips in a tender kiss. His lips were soft and familiar, and she felt herself melting into him, losing herself in the moment. When they finally pulled apart, she breathed heavily, her eyes searching his for any sign of how he felt about her.
He leaned in closer again, his breath warm against her cheek, and then his lips met hers. The kiss was soft at first, a gentle brush of lips, before deepening, becoming demanding. Ahvi felt herself respond, melting into him, her hands tangled in his hair as she arched into the contact. The kiss seemed to last an eternity, their mouths moving in perfect harmony as if they had been practising it for years.
When they finally pulled apart, their faces flushed, and Ahvi could feel the heat from his body radiating across her skin. It felt like something they were always meant to do. Their connection was palpable and electric, and with each passing second, it seemed to grow stronger.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, tangling her fingers in his hair, lost in the sensation of being held so tightly, so possessively. She could feel the hard muscles of his chest pressing against her breasts, and a shiver of pleasure ran down her spine.
She gazed into his eyes, lost in the depths of his dark irises, as she gently ran her fingers through his hair. His skin was soft beneath her touch, his lips still swollen from their kiss. She wanted nothing more than to kiss him again, to feel his lips against hers, to lose herself in the sensation.
Suddenly her phone rang and Aditya left her body from his possessive hold.
She looked and said " Shit! I am late for work. "
And without another word, she ran to her house and took her things.
Aditya followed her and asked " I can drop you off if you want"
Ahvi looked at her watch and said " OK."
Aditya and Ahvi, both went to the elevator together and headed towards Aditya's garage.
Aditya dropped Ahvi and also asked her when to pick up but Ahvi denied.
Aditya said " Please Ahvi. I would love to."
Ahvi said " 5 o'clock it is." And smiled.
Aditya smiled at her too. He kept watching her till she went inside the office building and then went away.
