When I First Saw You.

                              -April 15th-

The whirr of the claw machine filled Airi's head. She wasn't even focusing on that royalty free music that the claw machine game was so loudly playing. She pushed the joystick to the left, then to the right, then forward, then backwards. She kept adjusting where the claw was, until she perfectly positioned it over a cat plushie she so badly wanted.

The machine made a whooooop sound as the claw went down and grabbed the plushie. Airi watched in anticipation as the claw grabbed the plushie. The most stressful part was about to happen, the claw had to be perfect, and not drop the plushie.

Airi kept watching, staying completely still, not wanting anything to get between her and her plushie.

"Congratulations!" The machine said in a computer generated voice as the plushie hit the prize area. Another royalty free sound played, a celebration sound. Airi was proud of herself, she was never the best at claw machines.

"Airi?" A voice next to her asked as she grabbed her plushie. "Are you almost ready? Our rides here." The voice said kindly, watching as Airi grabbed her new cat plushie.

"Oh, yeah. I'm ready, Ena." Airi said, new plushie in hand, turning to face her best friend, Ena.

"What's the cat's name?" Ena asked with a smile - before being cut off by a voice behind her.

"Ena." The voice said, the voice startling Ena. She turned around, and her ride was here. It was her brother picking her up today.

"Akito? What are you doing here?" Ena said, not realizing that he was their ride home today.

"I'm here to pick you up. Why else would I be here?" Akito asked, rolling his eyes before heading out of the mall, expecting Ena and her friend to follow behind them.

"Who's that?" Airi then asked with a nervous giggle, hugging her plushie.

"Oh him? He's just my brother. Nobody important." Ena said with a smile, following her brother from behind, motioning Airi to follow.
