A/N the girl above is Hayden.

The next day I wake up and get ready for school. I don't pay much attention to what I am wearing because well, I don't care. So I just grab a shirt and put on some black jeans. I realize that I am short on time so I run down the unfamiliar stairs to the unfamiliar kitchen in which my dad is making breakfast. "I don't have time dad, I have to go." I walk over boxes filled with things from our old home. "Love you" I say as I walk out the door.

When I get to school I start to feel a bit overwhelmed. 'They won't like you' I tell myself 'Your not good enough' I grumble and continue to walk towards the doors. 'I'll be fine'

I take a deep breath and walk in, nothing happens, nothing. I really don't know what I was expecting, a balloon filled parade and a welcoming banner? I sigh and continue to walk through the unfamiliar hallway, well this feeling is nothing new. I can feel people's eyes on me as I walk through the hallways. Where is that damn main office!? I look down so I don't have to face my own embarrassment. I proceed with walking hoping someone would ask me if I was lost or if I needed help but instead my welcoming to the school was made by me crashing into somebody else, with my sketch pad and pencils flying everywhere. Well shit.

"Im..I'm so sorry." I say trying not to draw anymore attention to the situation than there already is. I scramble around trying to gather all the pencils rolling all over the ground. I look up to get a good look at the person in which I collided into and realize that it's the same person who I found my self staring at yesterday, the one isolated from everybody else. He was scowling at me but still took the time to bend over and help me gather all my things. "Uh.. Can you tell me where the main office is?" I say trying to regain composure. "You're right in front of it." He growls. And before I could say anything else he gets up and walks away. Jesus

I walk into the main office, to see a woman on the phone with pursed lips and the curliest hair I have ever seen. "Excuse me, I'm new here and I need m-" I'm cut off by the receptionist's finger. "I'm on the phone dear." She scolds. I take a deep breath in and try to be respectful and wait. She talks for a few moments then hangs up. "What is it that you need again?" she asks me. "Well I'm new here and I need my schedule." I say as politely as I could. "Oh yes of course!" She calls in to one of the class rooms. "Excuse me Mr.Way can you send Hayden Bran down to the office?" She smiles at me and looks back at the computer screen.

Moments later a girl with pastel purple hair comes in. She was exceptionally beautiful and thin, the type that would make almost anyone self conscious. "Hi" She stops as I'm assuming she's figuring out what to say, "Hayden, Dance. I'm gonna show you around today." She offers me her hand and I shake it. Wow formal. "Uh..Laney, Art. Nice to meet you." The lady at the main office hands me my schedule and we head out.

"So your the one who ran into Andy this morning?" Hayden asked with a smirk. Andy, I like that name. "Uh..Yeah, why?" She takes a moment to phrase her sentence. "Andy isn't the type to take the kind of stuff lightly." I looked at her puzzled. "What do you mean?" She gives me a 'you really shouldn't bother that' kind of look. "Just stay away from him, he isn't good for you. Well he isn't good for anyone really." She laughs to herself. I decide not to press into the subject anymore so I just shut my mouth. "I like your shirt" she says most likely changing the subject. "You like black flag?" And with that we walk down the hallway in meaningless conversation debating over "Rise Above" and "My War" being the best of their songs.

At lunch I meet up with Hayden. She's changed into her dance uniform, or whatever you call it. "Are you ready for your art class now now?" She asks, jabbing a fork into her lunch which was painfully small. "Hell yeah! Math was the absolute worst, the teachers voice was so boring I almost fell asleep." Hayden snorts at my rude comment. "You should come to the party tonight, it'll be a good opportunity to meet some new friends and I promise you'll have a good time." She looks at me,
waiting for a response. "Oh I don't know, that could end badly. Is there going to be alcohol?" She tosses a piece of lettuce at me. "Uh, duh! It's at Kellin Quinn's house, oh course there's gonna be alcohol!" I scrunch up my nose. "Ugh fine!"
