Breathe in. Breathe out. My head was rambling on and on. I felt a bony hand cup my skull in its palm and stroke it. Ever

                                                                     so

                gently.                                                 Caressing

                                                  me.

My heart was thrumming and adrenaline was pumping through my veins. I could feel someone lift me. A familiar feeling. A familiar discomfort. I'd felt it before. Big, muscly, tall; I knew who it was but at the same time, this feeling was very distinct. My mind was raging. Thoughts channelling in and out. I was unconscious. My senses around me - muted. Gone

I'd never thought that peace was real. But this, it was so peaceful. Like being in a dark room without harsh lighting. No one speaking over you, no one touching you, no one wanting you. I'd be lying if I said I didn't like it. I liked the thought of no one touching me or talking to me. It was my way of recharging. Just staying away from people gave me energy

I'd let my stupid emotions get the best of me. Now she was out there. Alone. I'm supposed to kill her. I want to send a dagger down her throat. No one will rob my revenge so easily. But to get to her, I have to find her first.

I left my apartment. The door made a beep sound when it locked. I ran towards the elevator but it was under maintenance. Shit. I sprinted towards the staircase and started running down the stairs. Skipping 3 steps at a time. Why couldn't this girl know basic defence? But then again, she was a bratty princess with disposable bodyguards by her side. I reached the 1st floor and kicked the jammed door open. I speedily ran into town. The streets were still empty and I swear I could've seen a tumbleweed rolling - exactly like in the movies.

I heard a man's voice nearby. I grabbed my mask from my cargo's pocket and quickly pulled it onto my face. My breathing became heavy - but silent. And I started creeping up. That's when I saw Ella.
