Chapter 3: A slime?

'Haaaaa. Thank God. That Armorsauruses jumped out of nowhere! Thank God I had quick reflexes or else I would've been the one dead right now! Thanks for helping me, Wisdom!'

This gal (?). She's just so smug is she? Haaaaa. Oh well, at least I have a trustworthy partner to back me up anytime I'm in trouble.

'Ku-hum. Anyways, let's continue our journey in finding Saturo, Wisdom!'

'yosh!' I thought as I started to continue running towards wherever Saturo is supposed to be. Now don't get me wrong, I have a mouth and I can speak quite proficiently this world's language thanks to Wisdom but ain't no way in hell will I talk out loud! Imagine, talking to your skill out loud. YOUR SKILL meaning other beings wouldn't be able to heat it but you. I'll look crazy if I do that! So nope. I'd do just fine with my inner monologues and be seen as a quiet fox. It makes me look normal and if I'm quiet enough, it can give me extra stealth enabling me to sneak up to other people. Two birds with one stone. HEH.

Anyways, enough of my rant, currently, it's been 3 days since I started looking for Saturo and let me tell you, that guy is ticking me off!! His directions kept moving as he himself seemed to be doing something at extreme speed!! That guy, I swear I'll head chop him so hard when I see him that he'll behave!! Though, I can't help but admit that I'm a little bit thankful for him moving around like that. I gained a lot of skills from the monsters trying to kill me when I was out looking for him after all. 'How did I get a lot of skills you ask? Well, during my second battle with a monster, I tried to copy the skill of the first monster I killed and then suddenly, BOOM, Wisdom told me I gained another unique skill called [Skill Absorption]. Apparently, it allows me to gain the skills of the monsters I killed may it be intrinsic, common, extra or unique making it assimilate to me fully. Its only limit is that it can't assimilate an ultimate skill. Which is completely fine to me as having a unique skill already seemed to be so overpowered!'

'Haaaaaa. How far is he now, Wisdom?' I asked Wisdom once again, five minutes after I started running after him again.

<Notice. He seems to come to a stop 30 meters away from you.>

'Good! It seems that idiotic guy finally did something rational. Yoshh, let's speed up.'

Another five minutes later, I still didn't see even a shadow of Saturo so I did what any sane person would do. Ask Wisdom!

'Neh Wisdom. Are you sure he's here??' slightly doubtful, I asked Wisdom with a tone of confusion.

Confused, I looked around while walking after hearing Wisdom say that.

'There's no one here though? Are you sure you didn't miscalcu-' "Ugh. What the heck??" I said, confused as my thoughts were cut off because I seemed to have bumped into something... smooth and elastic??

Looking ahead, I saw a bluish jelly-like creature that seemed to jiggle every time. It seemed to also be on deep thought while observing me?

'A slime?' I thought, confused.

'Mikami Saturo??? So this slime is Saturo?!! Ehhhhhh. Unbelievable. But since I trust Wisdom, the I guess I'll go with Yes!' I rambled, really confused about the situation. But hey, at least I'm not the only one who's not human right now.
