nico meets the batfam

the kid's definitely traumatized

Bruce's POV

I guessed the kid was a least a little traumatized when i found him and then he had a panic attack and i was worried i didn't tell jason this because I didn't want him to worry but I heard Nico mutter I'm sorry before we left, the kid had nothing to apologize for though

This makes me think that before I found him he was with somebody else and they taught him that it was not okay to have panic attack or any show emotion that was negative

It was the morning and I walked downstairs into the dining room there I saw Tim dick Damian and Nico

Tim was drinking an unGodly amount of coffee as usual, Damien and Dick were talking, Nico was quiet it was like he was analyzing us seeing if he could trust us which would make sense if he had been on the streets for a while or if any other traumatic things happened to him he didn't seem upset but he didn't seem happy either I couldn't see any emotion on his face it was like his body was in the room but he wasn't really there

After a little while of sitting there because it was really early in the morning dick said something to Damien which made him angry and he proceeded to lunch at dick the surprising thing is that Nico did not flinch at all

Alfred eventually got the two away from each other and we had breakfast I decided to try to talk to Nico

I walk up to nico who is sitting on the floor in the library along with Jason

"Hey nico" i said "what are you doing?"

"Thinking" nico said

"About what?" i asked

"My friends" he said

"Are they good friends?" I asked

"Ya" he said

That's when I realized he doesn't talk much but we continue to talk for a little while before he and Jason left to go back home

I Called the boys to the batcave

"Yes father" Damien said

"I was talking to Nico earlier and said he has some friends though he didn't say anything further I would like to know if he told you anything about them"

"No" said Damien

"Nope" said dick "I don't even think he talked to me that much"

"No" said a very tired Tim because Alfred took away his coffee

"Ok" i said "if he tells you anything about them please tell me so I can look and see if they're also on the streets"

"Are you going to adopt all of his friends or something" asked dick

"No but I do want to make sure they each have a stable household" i said "if they don't-"

"Then you're going to adopt them aren't you" said dick

"No" i said even though I was kind of planning on doing that if they needed it
