PAST

It's been months since Jungkook, and Taehyung met and became friends. They are always together, share their problems and happiness with each other. If one is sad, then the other will do things to cheer him up and vice versa. They are happy with their friendship and may or may not they both feel somethings about each other which a friend is not supposed to feel for their friends and they may want to step ahead in their friendship.

Jungkook is sure that he likes Taehyung more than just a friend, and he wants to ask him out, but he is afraid. They are so apart from each other. Taehyung is the only heir of one of the richest families, whereas him, he is not even near the status of their servants. That's why he is not taking any step and asking him out, afraid that he may ruin their friendship also. So he made himself content with just the friendship as he is able to see him daily and spend time with him. He is happy with what he have and he doesn't want to ruin it with his greed.

Today is 1st September, which means the birthday of Jungkook. He doesn't celebrate his birthdays as he doesn't have any friends with whom he can celebrate, and his parents simply don't care about him. But today, he is quite excited about it as he has his hyung to celebrate his birthday. He is feeling giddy while walking towards the school. He entered inside and smiled widely after seeing the person he liked a lot. He happily walked towards him and suddenly hugged him. Taehyung also wrapped his hands around him, engulfing him fully. After separating from each other, Taehyung asked,

"What made you smile this wide, huh?"

"Nothing. I'm just happy today." Jungkook replied with his beautiful smile still on display.

"Hmm, okay then always stay happy happiness suits you." Teahyung said with a soft smile on his face, making the younger giggle more. Taehyung likes seeing him all smiley. It makes him happy also.

"Okay, lectures are about to start. Let's head towards the class. Shall we." Taehyung said. Jungkook nodded, and they started walking towards the class. The earlier wide smile on Jungkook's face faltered as Taehyung didn't wish him, and he thought that he had forgotten about his birthday. He pressed his lips in a thin line at this thought and then shrugged it of that. It's not the first time that no one wished him, and it didn't matter before, so why is it bothering him now. He sighed loudly, making Taehyung look after him and ask,

"What happened?"

Jungkook looked at him on the face and shook his head, saying nothing.

"You sure?" He then again asked at which jungkook again nodded his head.

"Okay, if you say so." Taehyung said while shrugging his shoulders.

When they reached Jungkook's class, they bid each other good bye, and when Jungkook was about to enter his class, Taehyung stopped him and said,

"Meet me at the roof top in lunch break. Have something important to tell you." Listening to this, Jungkook again smiled widely and nodded his head, indicating that he'll be their. Taehyung smiled at him, and after saying his last goodbye went towards his class.

Jungkook also went inside and sat on his chair at the end of the class beside the window. There were three lectures before the lunch break, and those three lectures were hell for him. The clock was ticking so slow, making him irritated. He is becoming impatient now. After some time, the bell rang of the last lecture before the lunch break. He hurriedly packed his things in his bag and almost ran towards the rooftop. By the time he reached there, he was out of breath. He opened the rusted door of the rooftop and bent down to catch his breath and normalise his heartbeat.

"Woah, it looks like you ran a marathon." Taehyung commented, startling the younger as he was so busy catching his breath that he didn't notice the other. Jungkook smiled at the other's comment and went towards him.
