Embers of Fate

In the dim light of dawn, the city stood under the brisk veil of chaos. The city of Shadowvale wasn't the same as it used to be. It used to be such a positive place. That was back when the heroes were head government of Shadowvale. Nobody quite remembers what had happened on that unfaithful day because the opposing team had mindwiped every single last citizen. Normally when things like that happen, a hero is there to help the case. To make things better. There's always someone to lean on. But that's the thing. Villians aren't always villians, you see. Every one is a hero to someone, and every one is a villian to someone. Personally to me, I always was the hero in MY own story. It's everyone else who always had the problem with me. And now it's my turn to unleash havoc. That's what they wanted right? If that isn't what they wanted in the first place, I would've never even thought about betraying my alliance in such a manner.

                                                            Aurelia's POV

"The day doesn't seem so bad as it did yesterday. That day was rough honestly. Ugh, I'm thinking today will be easier but I'm unsure. Ever since the unknown group known as "TSS" took over, Shadowvale hasn't been the same. The chaos has been unbearable, leaving the dawnbringers to have to help a lot more people. That's the thing, we aren't quite sure on what the "TSS" want.
It's gotten quite overwhelming but it's the norm at this point honestly. I groan as I roll out of bed, my leg still sore from the combat yesterday. Putting villians to prison is nearly impossible when your government is run by them. It almost makes you feel like the criminal instead, when you're up for good and everyone else is up for wrong. I get up to go get some food. I look around, but Mom's  not here." "She must've got up early for work" I think to myself. A swift shadow blurs past me as I spin around trying to see what it was. My vision blurry, I rub my eyes. "Must've been my imagination." I say to myself as I settle down with a nice cup of coffee. Not two sips in and I hear footsteps on my roof. I look upward and realize something. I don't have an attic. Which means whatever is on my roof, can't get inside. I sigh in relief as I sip once again, thinking it was probably just a animal.

                                                           Lucius's POV
Ahh. The fresh scent of a new morning. Taking over Shadowvale wasn't the hardest thing I've ever have to do, however it most certainly wasn't the easiest. The hardest thing I had to do was find the location of the leader of the dawnbringers. Knowing I have experience in helping the world defeat against human traffickers helped that situation a lot. I have her right where I want her. Sadly, I'm unable to access her identity because of her privacy shield she has over her house. I may not be able to access any of her private information at the moment, but little does she know I have her right where I want her. I tread lightly as I walk over the roof of her roof. Tip, tap, tip. So gently. Like a mouse in a trap, I've got you. You can't hide from me, little miss dawnbringer. I will, and I won't hesitate to have you put under arrest for disordering me. You may think I'm not here, but I'm always watching. Step after step. You won't be able to hide for long. Better run, little girl. Our game of hide and seek has only just begun.
